This guy’s Al-gorithim clearly never fed him content about the most dangerous Arab invention ever: Al-gebra. Feels good to recycle my senior year literature teacher’s jokes some 20+ years later.

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Elite burn.

Mediterraneo (1991) is a gorgeous movie. Bunch of Italian soldiers end up on a Greek island, their ship sinks, their radio breaks, and over 3 years they just forget war and integrate into island life. One of my favorites from my “go back and watch Italian Academy Award winners” mission.

Also if you’re in Seattle, Cinema Italian Style at SIFF is looking good this year. Coming up soon in November. It’s a great event and a chance to see films that never come here. Catch me at every screening I’m able to attend.

Maybe PHP always has 2 critical bugs at any given time and it’s just that OpenAI yelled a lot about these ones for PR.

My first big internet panic was CVE-2014-6271 (Shellshock). I was a Junior DevOps Engineer at a 911 services provider for 100+ counties across the US. Shit was chaos. Kinda loved it. Probably what drove me to full time security and threat intel. Loved the pressure. I should’ve just gone to therapy.

Anyone else under assault from Texas voting spam? I have never lived in, will never, have no desire to, and don’t even feel compelled to visit the state of Texas. What is this garbage?

This time of year in Seattle is always like: hey it’s Friday look at how nice it is outside oh yeah get pumped for the weekend. Then the weekend comes and it’s like: lol enjoying watching soccer in the rain you soggy idiot.

You think cities (cars if we’re honest, nothing else is noisy in a city) are loud now? Imagine the fucking downright cacophonous blasts of a flying car’s engines.

In the wake of the Yandex data center bombing and the disruption it’s doing to Russian business, I keep wondering what the us-east-1 equivalent is for AI data centers. Lots of business halted the more we hand over to AI workloads. Anyways, back to threat research. SkeletorRunningAway.jpg

Huskies 1-0 in the 2’! Have lived in walking distance for 8 years and only now making my first collegiate soccer game. Shame on me.

This West Ham feels like when I play West Ham on semi-pro in FIFA. Lovely day out.

At least my local football club remains a democracy. Snark aside, super cool to be able to vote on decisions in the club you support. Wish they’d put the potential Renton move to a vote.

Pride from passing CEFR leveled tests is nothing compared to what I feel receiving spam and phone calls in Italian. I think I’ve made it. I’ve shitposted enough in other forums in a foreign language to be bot targeted.

Great piece. It’s the op-ed Adrian should’ve written instead of throwing up his hands and saying let’s move to Renton.

Despite promises of a shared stadium, state legal frameworks gave NFL's Seahawks master lease control over Lumen Field. This leaves pro soccer teams like Seattle Reign as subtenants with high costs and low priority. Lawmakers can update this outdated setup. olympiatime.com/2026/10/10/r...

Me: We need a President with a west coast mindset. I wonder what history shows. Facts: Richard Nixon is the only President to have been born on the west coast. Ronald Reagan and Herbert Hoover the only two to have spent large chunks of their life there. That’s it. That’s a pretty shit tier club.

Ahhh yes I’m sure Iran is itching to take out the largest concentration of the Iranian diaspora with over half a million. So many that they call it Tehrangeles.

Trump: "With the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay ... let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay."

What @ferries.wsdot.wa.gov is leaving out here is that a lot of engineers are working working overtime due to short-staffing. 42% of ferry engineers have had to cancel planned vacations because of this. WSF are in the wrong here but won't admit that. #overtime #overwork #union #burnout

The employees who work in the engine room play a vital role in providing WSF’s safe service, which is why Chief Engineers have a base salary of $157,000, and can make more than $350,000 a year with overtime, as well as annual sick and vacation leave, and retirement accrual.

CODDLED DRIVERS—LAVISHED WITH BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF INFRASTRUCTURE JUST GIVEN TO THEM WITHOUT ANYONE NEEDING TO LAUNCH AN ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN THAT TAKES ALL OF THEIR TIME ON EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS—EXPECTED TO EXPERIENCE SLIGHT INCONVENIENCE

The Seattle Times@seattletimes.com

Lane closures north of downtown Seattle lead the parade of construction that will force thousands of drivers to detour or change plans.

I can’t decide if it’ll be funny or horrifying to see Musk in a 5-star General’s uniform with North Korea levels of dangling silverware. We’ll go with both.

Should’ve led with this. Most compelling reason for the stadium move I’ve seen. Lean in to this, have players talk about how it hurts their on field performance, provide a transit solution, show us the finances, and you might get support for a move.

Hanauer cont 2: “Our current situation here is untenable. It may be not completely untenable for fans, but we have great examples of best practices of mls teams playing in nfl stadiums. We know what these soccer teams deserve in this building.

Proposal to change the ECS chant “go for the kill” to “go for the krill”.

Me: “Oh no, big CVE in a dependency this personal project I have uses. I don’t have time to update all dependencies. I’m so out of date.” > claude “update” (spins for 15mins and finishes) This is the kind of security win I can’t get over. Jumped 2 major versions and everything works.

Should I have read the changelog? Probably. But for a pet project that’s exposed to the internet and has a solid test suite from the before times, this is great. I can now go back to what I wanted to do today: read and watch soccer.

“Longest undefeated streak in the league.” remains a hilarious stat given 15 games without a win. Hope that ends tonight.

6 games undefeated. Let’s go @soundersfc.com

What in the… a bunch of kids just went by on Lime Gliders all riding side saddle. Is this the new way? Ride it like some 17th century duchess?

Fuuuck I miss when the team had not one but TWO Chads on it.

It’s funny OpenAI killed Terra in its latest release. Feels like foreshadowing.
