Wildwood was fantastic! Stop motion has always been so cool to me and I'm glad that studios like Laika exist.

Based on a dropped commission idea (3rd image - client lost interest). I liked the design so much that I had to get it out of my system in a full blown illustration. A kind of techno-organic cyberpunk-ish weird Batman that could make for an interesting comic.

Rise of, Dawn of, and War for the Planet of the Apes is a fantastic trilogy where each entry is better than the last. Andy Serkis is a phenomenal actor.

I'm Erin, a photographer focusing on the desolate feeling of urban isolation and capturing the eerie energy emanating from utility poles. Always looking to collaborate if you want to use my photos, just DM me! I post photos daily. You can buy prints of my art here: ersatzautonomy.darkroom.com

Well, I finally went and bought The Ghost in the Shell manga, specifically the fully compiled version. I've seen and really like the '95 movie, as well as the new show. Read up through Robot Rondo today, and it's really cool how close the new show is to the manga! All the notes included are awesome.

📷 Probably should have waited and done one long thread for all my trip photos, oh well. #photography #fujifilm #X-T2

I still regularly use my old PS3 for movies and games, it's fantastic. I'm going to be very sad the day it dies.

Six years into the PS5 generation, and the PS3 is still way more fun.

Been thinking about what the best way to control a mech would be recently. Keeping options realistic, so no brain-computer interfacing. The puppeteering methods used by the actual Kuratas mech and Ganker toys are the most interesting to me.

Dual joysticks seems like it might be neat too, but you wouldn't have direct control over the arm movements in that scenario.

Hm, maybe both with a mode toggle. Puppeteering for melee combat and precision object manipulation, dual joysticks for gunfights and the like. That'd cover ground operations quite well, joysticks could probably do space nicely too.

I'd imagine movement like walking would be best handled by some automated system. You give direction and speed inputs, foot placement is done on the fly.

Used bookstore score again. Now I have to track down the rest.

Used bookstore (and other things) score from yesterday. I was quite surprised when I saw the Idolo DVD, never would have expected that.
