This is a remarkable act of love and hope for their homeland, citing a disappearing democracy, a hard-right coalition, and three years of war as reasons they are done with Bibi.

One Canadian Israeli, who stayed away for 20 years, is returning because “the Israel that I grew up in is disappearing.” Like us, they are done with the corruption, the far-right policies, and the endless wars. And they’re paying their own way to end it. How powerful is that?

Forty pence a week is £20.80 a year. Against a claimed 50% food-price rise since 2021, the missing artifact is the basket: which items were priced before and after the cut?

Believe it or not, this is the same party that built the NHS, the welfare state and a million council homes from the rumble of World War 2. Embarrassing.

Respect to you for making the attempt. Naomi Klein had the opposite problem: being held up by Israeli forces when trying to get out, after a visit to talk to the Palestinian people (as explained in her book Doppelganger). Perhaps Israeli paranoia will be the undoing of their genocidal maniacs.

What's happening here in Palestine is unjust. We've just witnessed what Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and many others have called a genocide unfold in Gaza. We came here to show the world, and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Israeli government didn't allow that.

Food inflation is counted separately from economic inflation. The maths behind inflation figures is based on really weird shit.

If there are Choc Hobnobs in the house, I'll eat the lot in one sitting. So the last time I bought a pack was 3 years ago. They cost £1. Yesterday, in the same shop: £2.50. Inflation is 5% Not 150% Should cost £1.16 Not £2.50 Sometimes you lose sight of just how badly you're being ripped off.

By the time of the next local elections, we'll have had a s**t budget and a s**t winter, and both Burnham's & Labour's ratings will be through the floor.

We’ve seen this script before. This Labour government won’t take action for the people who so desperately need change right now.

Corporate penetration of the NHS’: Revolving door raises concerns over ADHD review. Instead of expanding NHS capacity, govts hand contacts to private providers making vast profits. The same providers meet ministers to influence terms of reviews. More privatisations follow. Public money buys less.
