I've never liked ANY automatic effects when it's at all feasible to do a manual one. Things like automatic tweens, particle effects, pixel shaders. I hate those. I'd rather have a "stiffer" manual effect than a "smoother" automatic one. So naturally I LOATHE degeneration.

If humanity was a race of adults, AI would have no effect on art whatsoever. Because WE ALREADY DID THIS. When chess robots showed up, morons went "Ooh, I guess chess is over, ooh." Nobody gives a shit how good robots are at chess. We care how good people are at chess. Art is no different.
