I’m so angry & heart broken. My NSF CAREER grant was stolen today; dream project supporting science teachers/students as climate justice action researchers, tackling urban heat. Truly transformative, the culmination of my life’s work, we won’t stop, not in this climate crisis. Gonna fight like hell!

The crowd was cheering wildly for her and chanting M-V-P! 🙌🏼. The incredible thing about the #Valkyries is that it’s all STARS and no egos. It’s family first. Stokes is humble AF - 3 for threes tonight, she deserves all the flowers. I’m turning out for her block party any time! #GSV #Finals 🏀💪🏼🫶🏼

Danielle H@danielleceltics.bsky.social

Kiah Stokes can't stop smiling during her postgame interview: "Shoutout to my teammates, I can't hear anything!" #WNBA

The greatest gift the #Valkyries brought the Bay under Coach Nakase is pure electric JOY. This only happens with intention, trust building, rockstar leadership. #Ballhalla is community, a movement of radical joy, built by the team and their fans. I’m so honored to be part of it! #GSV🫶🏼🏀 #Game5Vibes

Powerful words from @aoc.bsky.social. America does not belong to any one race, religion, or creed. It is big enough for all of us who believe in democracy and in our Constitution and in leaving a future that is better for our kids.

Just to be clear... Prop 40 is a ONE-TIME retroactive tax. It applies ONLY to billionaires and would tax just 5% of their wealth — which grew 30% in 2025. California's billionaires would still be worth $2T+ AFTER the tax. The revenue will fund healthcare for millions of Californians. Vote YES.

lol, the year is 2026 and the facist regime's DOJ sent a THUMB DRIVE with the names of California registered voters it claims are non-citizens. Super Intelligence™️ all the way with this administration. Waiting for the floppy disk drop next 😤😵‍💫 Fight like hell, fellow Californians! 💪🏼

Well executed, Mr. Logan! 💙

This is absolutely jarring and incredibly chilling. Sally Rooney is one of the most compassionate writers about the human experience, of our time. Just finished Intermezzo and ironically also the author of: Beautiful World, Where are You, among many others. STAND WITH SALLY!

Brian Goldstone@brian-goldstone.bsky.social

Sally Rooney's publisher is pulling her books from the UK market. She can no longer receive royalties from UK sales of her books. She fears arrest if she enters the country. Political dissent, effectively treated as a criminal offense. It's hard to overstate how frightening and insidious this is.

From the time he was SF mayor to today, Gavin Newsom has always been performative and opportunistic. He's shown us Californians, over and over, who he is. It's about time we listen. And just FYI, far right extremists like Nick Fuentes love him...that says a lot, none of which is good.

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

It’s bad enough that Gavin Newsom opposes California’s Prop 40. But he also supports Prop 42, a billionaire-backed poison pill that would cancel out Prop 40 entirely and make it impossible to enact future wealth taxes. It’s clear whose side he’s on. Remember this in 2028.

I think a lot about Anas Baba, the Palestinian @npr.org journalist reporting from Gaza. His work provides a rare glimpse into the horrors. Baba’s stories with @danielestrin.bsky.social (in Jerusalem) are so powerful and heartbreaking. His photos from Gaza during a year of “ceasefire” must be seen 💔

So STOKED! 🙌🏼The whole #Valkyries roster should be pictured, that's how they play. Best thing to happen to Bay Area sports. It's not just how these women level up but how they play the game. Epic assists, power blocked shots, connection, team work makes the dream work at its best🏀💪🏼 #GSV #Ballhallah

Is this an insulting joke? How could you publish, report or be quoted in this?!! Like, hmmm, no ideas why kids these days are less likely to come out as LGBTQ+?!!!! Hint: it’s not that there are less gays lol. All this survey tells us is that young ppl are as bright as I know them to be….😵‍💫😤💪🏼

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Young teenagers are less likely to identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual than a few years ago, according to a new analysis. “It really does look like a free fall,” Jean Twenge, a professor of psychology, said. “But what’s causing it is unclear.”

What I love about the #Valkyries besides that their dominating in their second round of playoffs, is that you see sponsors like TAMPAX proudly displayed under the official's table. It's such positive energy and an incredible embrace of women's sports! 🏀 #Ballhalla #GSV #LetsGoValks #WNBA

Seeing the #Valkyries in their home stadium is something I wish everyone could experience! It's just pure joy and genuine community. I left the last game friends with the couple next to me. It's the hope we need in the world right now!! 💪🏼🫶🏼🙌🏼

I’m so over the dramatic stories of the small town farmer, trucker, “non-political guy” who are sad because the admin’s policies negatively impact them, but the critical part that THEY VOTED for this inhumanity is buried. Like, put the truth up front and engage the complexity, that’s worth writing 😤

Marisa Kabas@marisakabas.bsky.social

It’s confusing that @theatlantic.com described this man as a “a lifelong Democrat who had voted for Trump for the first time in 2024” who when these are some of his very easily findable FB posts:

Holy smokes got to see the #Valkyries advance in the playoffs after a serious nail biter. They found their groove in the 3rd quarter and finished strong. The energy at Chase and around them in general is absolutely incredible to experience. Shout out to Williams’ clutch free throws #Ballhallah #GSV

This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇

OMG this mariachi band doing the national anthem is amazing and an incredibly subversive political statement that I did not expect to come from… Chicago Bears management?

If you are rightfully outraged by the #Cornell 7 case, as a prof I can tell you from experience with students that Title IV protects predators (reinforced by DeVos). The white entitled frat boys were not charged for haneous sexual assault because the system is working as designed and they know this!

npr.orgProsecutors are reexamining a Cornell fraternity rape case. Here's what we knowNew York prosecutors are reopening an investigation into an alleged rape case at Cornell University in 2024. The alleged victim recently filed a lawsuit against seven members of Chi Phi fraternity.

Imagine being a victim of horrid crimes and facing this both sides "hearing" (thanks to DeVos): "Cornell said it held a hearing where 'a panel of trained faculty and staff heard evidence over multiple days,' which included testimony from all sides." Sending love & strength to the brave survivor!💔

Yesterday on here was like twitter at its worst. I'll just say: being white is a huge ass privilege even among other highly oppressed aspects of one's identity. It enrages me when ppl understand their whiteness is power, yet feel ENTITLED to weild it in gross ways because they're also marginalized.

It’s manipulative, unconstructive, juvenile, hurtful and brings the entire fight for collective justice down. Sure, we can have bad days, be in terrible places, be angry at others, but using a huge platform to rage at others is not the way. After all - No one is free until we’re all free. Peace

This is how I started my class last week. And yeah, sure, I don’t understand the intricacies of how AI could destroy us, maybe, but, the problem is, as the planet breaks heat records, I do understand how climate-related impacts everyday, right now, harm the most vulnerable humans while we do nothing

I don’t understand the hand-wringing reaction to claims that nueral networks have a 10% chance of destroying civilisation. Fossil fuel companies have a 100% chance of initiating a mass extinction event. Maybe we could address that?

I went to my first Golden State #Valkyries game tonight. Genuinely got tears in my eyes when first heard the crowd in the packed house ROAR! Basketball was my life growing up. I never thought I’d see the day when the #WNBA is celebrated so fully. I’m hooked! 🏀🫶🏼 #SFBay #Ballhalla

As a prof, I prepare science teachers. We interrogate bias - my goal is to support them as inclusive, justice-centered curricular designers. I always problematize the term "microaggressions." Because WHO are they micro TO? The aggressor? Definitely not those who carry this vile weight decades later🫶

First woman fighter pilot after national guard opened air combat to women. This is such an incredible recounting of the mission. Her F-16 wasn’t armed so the only way to stop the hijacked flight was was to fly directly into it, a suicide mission. She said, without hesitation, “I had a job to do.”
