when simple mechanical UI is better than anything digital

TIL: type-ignore statements in #Python don't always apply the way you think they do. Does anyone know why this is?

My start of the week: fixing broken CI and docker builds due to a third-party package update with not only breaking changes but also bugs. Thankful for coffee ☕

Elon feels like he doesn't have enough global influence yet :')

someone should train a computer vision model that can help troubleshoot a PCB based on a picture of both sides and additional context

The USA have built a wall around themselves. This wall shields their economic stakeholders and consumers from having to do anything to reduce climate damage. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

As long as the U.S. Congress remembers that the rules and liberties they make now will also apply to the next president from the other camp, you'd think we'll be fine, right?

Always ask the question. Every story I’ve ever seen of someone curing their cancer using “alternative” therapies has a “also we did the normal stuff” subplot right beneath the surface.

This is what the DevicePosture API was designed for!

I just hope Elon doesn't delete Amtrak

This is what I want: a personalized office with a 3D-printer and an accomplice who is also an old friend.

This is fucking hilarious…I posted a version of this tweet on Twitter and it wasn’t getting much engagement so I reposted it without the word “Bluesky” and it’s doing normally even though I didn’t even delete the original tweet. Manipulation and lack of respect in action.

Every city needs public places where you can: - read - learn - drink coffee - get help starting your business In London, all of this can be found in the British Library.

Hello, Bluesky! :)

Where are the deep tech people here? I don’t want to hear about the latest product launch, I want to hear about 1.6% optimizations on small hotspots of code that are called 3000000 times a year saving years of compute time
