Hello! You probably know me as that less entertaining associate of someone else. It turns out I have been advised that I am 'at risk of redundancy'. I am bricking it. There has never been a better time for you to throw a few quid at one of the various silly things I've made. I've made a list.

I wonder about the feasibility of a Skyrim mod that: a) Removes all of the dragons b) You can only talk to people about dragons if you're ripped off your tits on skooma But otherwise leaves as much as possible unchanged.

This weekend on Sunday 1st November from 1230-1330 I'll be appearing at the Stratford Literary Festival running a Manga Workshop for 11-16yr olds at the Crowne Plaza! There are actually some tickets left! Head on over and grab them if you can and I'll see you there :)

The ultimate goal of AI is so that the wealthy can have access to skills while denying the skilled access to wealth. With AI we don't get the inventive Mike Daillys or Jeff Minters or Shigeru Miyamotos. We get recycled memories of life as seen by a machine for the sake of the rich

"Nothing political" is always a stupid policy, in any context, because literally anything in the world can become 'political' if arseholes start whining about it. Every "nothing political" policy is an open invitation to let the worst people in the world censor anyone they have beef with.

The best time to develop a conscience about building weapons of terror designed for use against civilian populations is before joining Boston Dynamics, the second best time is now.

The thing about maths (and others) is that you don't find out who is "going to use it in later life" unless you give everyone a chance to learn it in the first place. If odd bits of maths, science, geography and language don't come in clutch every so often in your daily life, that's a skill issue.

I had to go on Twitter to confirm this was real because Ship Awesome Games In A Weekend having a hand with six fingers was so on the nose I was about to pass out

This shit just writes itself at this point. Just the name "Epic AI MegaJam" is a joke that best describes what is going on with these companies.

A book is a bridge constructed from bricks of time, built by both the writer and the reader. The two of them can meet on that bridge, even if centuries separate them. Without those bricks — without that time from both of them — there is no bridge, no meeting, and no point.

The best description I've heard: AI art looks like Christian rock sounds.

Does anyone know of a decent VTT that can be used for naval-style wargames? i.e. No squares or hexes, free rotation, and the ability to say 'move this thing directly forwards' instead of having to wing it?

I've been kind of taken with this opening line from a chapter, which I added on a pure whim: "[The town] was just waking up, but trouble is an early riser."

The controversial Calvin and Hobbes "washing machine" strip that was withdrawn from circulation in 1985 (it wasn't really. I made it)
