1/6 Divine 1.0.24 is out. Six seconds. More room to play. Animate your layers, make effects hit on the beat, shape your sound, and pass camera clips to a friend to make something together. Plus better captions and a screen that stays clear when you ask it to. Here's what's new.

So #wsocial fundamentally doesn't understand the dynamics about what makes social media safe or what should be kept private.

🤦‍♀️ #WSocial is posting legal names, nationalities and approx. birthdays of verified users as a public record on the Atmosphere. Confronted, they claim it's "by design" 🤯

India thinks they can stop us with #bitchat by removing it from the appstore. But at least on android the bitchat app has the ability for you to directly send the full apk of the app via bluetooth from one user to another. It's also open source, so we're seeing a flood of compatible apps.

A couple years ago i got frustrated with 1password, they have some sketchy business practices and weird relationship to open source / self hosting. So i tried bitwarden... well it's just not so good, switching back to 1password, it's gotten better. Frustrating when the tech is so good it overrides

Shocking, Sam Altman and OpenAI haven't been ethical or responsible in terms of AI safety. archive.is/lhYzZ Let's clearly setup a system by which they promise to hold back, but Sam Altman skipped the whitehouse let's be responsible and hold back session, to announce a ton of new releases.

Auckland Wayne Brown wants to promote startups in Auckland and then goes to say the reason Auckland is a good spot to do it is Auckland's a beautiful place to be rich and retire. He clearly knows nothing about why tech founders create startups. #nzpol thespinoff.co.nz/partner/28-0...

Interested in solving the housing cost problem in the anglo world? This podcast looking at New Zealand from the perspective of a Portland Oregon based housing activists is amazing. In particular because I moved form Portland to New Zealand and I have seen housing prices drop in NZ since moving.

Hey, during my sabbatical I made a podcast! It’s a one-shot miniseries about what happened after the world’s most ambitious upzoning campaign won. Here’s the trailer; episodes coming weekly all through June & July. You can subscribe on Apple/Spotify/etc. rss.com/podcasts/yim...

to be clear, the admin is alleged to have deported AT LEAST 25,447 individuals TO COUNTRIES THAT ARE NOT THEIR OWN with, evidently, ZERO PROTECTIONS. this is a scandal and crime of historic proportions.

forbiddenstories.orgThe Deportation Project MapBetween 2025 and August 2026, the Trump administration deported over 25,000 people to countries other than their country of origin. Very few of these removals were publicly announced by the US. The De...

the @forbidden-stories.bsky.social investigation is so deeply important. put the illegality to one side. the trump admin is brazenly sending ppl to third countries, lacking any cxn, without any guarantee they won't be sent on for torture, abuse, persecution... it's horrible.

I feel so lucky to have users who are passionate fans of the app I built. Social software is nothing without the community of users.

with @blackskyweb.xyz taking steps towards software sovereignty instead of relying on direct forks from @bsky.app, they have the ability to possibly move towards setting up private accounts! now is a great time to migrate to blacksky! move.blacksky.community

I’ll be working hard to minimize disruption during this time, but it’s possible things might glitch. After the migration is done, new things will be possible for Blacksky hosted accounts — not immediately but this lays the foundations for things like private accounts.

Auckland is opening it's inner city loop CRL, and it's really nice, amazing stations, beautiful public infrastructure. I'm glad it's here. But it was also a colossal disaster. It cost many times more than it needed in order to satisfy a broken model of private contractors and failed cost controls.

And that’s what we got. A weakened but not replaced Luxon. His own MPs didn’t support him unanimously but there was nobody else with enough support to replace him. If only Labour ran a campaign or politician with charisma. I mean it worked running Jacinda. But I guess they don’t like winning. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Isn't the best possible outcome for New Zealand that Luxon survives but is increasingly wounded by National MP's trying to organize coup after coup? #nzpol

I don't understand the moat and economic future of OpenAI and Anthropic... I hit my limits on claude and codex and switched to k3, and honestly it's good, better in some areas, slight worse in others, but mostly indistinguishably amazing. Why would anybody pay the premimum for the american mdoels?

I mean OpenAI is a non-profit so they shouldn't be really caring as they are supposed to shutdown and give it all away when they achieve AGI... but Anthropic is a company. ;-D
