This 2000-year-old grafting technique is why almost every apple, citrus and grape tree you know exists. Ancient China and Rome figured it out first.

This darning technique rebuilds the knit stitch by stitch instead of patching over it, leaving sweaters and socks looking untouched.

Profits over Lives. ⚪ Man is a plague that exploits, destroys & kills because of their obsession with greed & power

Snagged this from FB. This may make some people uncomfortable but I think it highlights just how far we've come from what's natural, from our relationship to the Earth that sustains us and our beautiful relatives we share it with.

So fun seeing mamas and babies this time of year! I was mowing a path through my pasture when I saw this pair. I was still at least 50 yards away when mama jumped the fence and ran away while the fawn hid. I retreated and from a distance saw mama return.

Mother Earth is watching. Don't be complicit.

Hey everyone! Just landed back in France after spending 3 weeks guiding photo tours in Greenland. Looking forward to share some new work from there 🙂. Meanwhile here’s a video of a really cool iceberg 🧊 we found last week.

Do kids still pick teams for games like kick ball, etc? I remember the humiliation of being picked second to last at summer camp. Unbeknownst to them at the time, despite being a skinny kid with frizzy red hair, I was a decent (good?) athlete. Crazy that I still remember that, 45 years later

Adorable hedgehog unwraps himself completely for that snack…. 😊 #bluesky

This is a legitimately incredible result that hints at something fundamental about plasmids that we don’t yet understand

Some rural physicians aren't worried about Medicaid cuts causing hospitals to close. I don't understand how professionals whose work is evidence-based can be so uninformed. #Medsky

I don't understand why hypocrisy is suddenly acceptable and integrity is irrelevant

If you’re an American should watch the Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown ep on Iran. A deeply humanizing look at a country full of people just like you and me. I watched it after Anthony died and it moved in ways that are hard to relay. I also immediately ran out to try kabob koobideh and tahdig.

Trump on US Steel: But they're going to invest billions of dollars in steel. And it's a good company. Nissan is a very good company

Trump on not allowing foreign students into Harvard: “A lot of these people need remedial “rath,” math with students who can't add 2 and 2, and they go to Harvard.” The guy who can't find America on a map needs remedial English, math, history, and geography, not to mention a brain. Embarrassing.

Trump: "The drug companies are very worried that they're gonna fight. And that's ok. If they fight, we'll just say, 'We're just not gonna let you sell any more cars into the US or wine or liquor or alcohol' or something that's actually way more important to them than the drugs."

I was paying attention. I was listening. I believed you. I did what you told me to do and I became who you told me to become And that's why I've found myself standing here wondering how you've become someone I no longer recognize, johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/you-raised...

NEW INVESTIGATION: A private equity-fueled for-profit chain slashed patient care for years while its executives got rich. So we scraped every malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death case tied to Steward hospitals. And we found how mothers, newborns, and others paid the ultimate price.
