Meta took down the No Kings organizing page today - the biggest day of protest this fall. They provided zero explanation. It stayed down for the entire afternoon until most of the protests were done.
Outrageous. Put this on the January investigation list.
❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this.
Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.
Jack Smith: "History teaches that the rule of law is rarely destroyed all at once. It's often weakened by attacks on the institutions and the public servants sworn to uphold it. Since January 2025, we have witnessed precisely such an effort."
This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇
Increase in productivity since 1979: 93%
Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 34%
Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.
As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
Socialism is what they called public power.
Socialism is what they called social security.
Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.
Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.
—Harry Truman, 1952
Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.
Pritzker: So here’s the truth, plain and simple: Our state is under siege. Not by protesters, immigrants, the deep state, the press, Canada or Mexico or Greenland, Antifa or Jewish space lasers or pride parades.
No. Our state's under siege by a petty, corrupt man in Washington.
This is outrageous. A free press cannot function under constant threats and retaliation from the government.
Reporters must be free to hold those in power accountable — without fear of retribution.
The assault on the free press must end!
Many of you are asking how you can help me.
My only ask is this: Spread the word about the threats to democracy and how we can fight back. Tell everyone to subscribe to Democracy Docket and share its content. demdock.com/4w6emld

Service member's father arrested by ICE while he was on the USS Lincoln.
Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.
Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good.
I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.
El-Sayed: We live in an era where we continue to see a few very small people try to define America as being as small as they are. We can't control the past 250 years. What we can do is build the next 250
Californians expect their government to protect their personal information.
That’s why we’re launching Cal-Secure 2.0, an updated cybersecurity strategy to protect the state against online threats while delivering secure, reliable public services.
France calls out the U.S. at a UN meeting:
“The US used to be a beacon of human rights. Not anymore. Today, it stands alongside North Korea, Nicaragua, Mali and Russia. Isolated. And the world no longer listens to it.”
U.S. representatives stormed out of the meeting. Well said France! 👏🏼🇫🇷👏🏼
The decimation of our federal agencies has upended the lives of thousands of workers.
These are the people who oversee food safety, public health, and much more.
The squalor of this moment is bringing us back to basics — and reminding us of what our priorities should be. [Cartoon by Adam Zyglis]
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
-Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953
FACT CHECK:
03/20/25: FDA announced it was pushing back the implementation of its “Food Traceability Rule” by 30 months. This would have made tracing cyclosporiasis back to Taylor Farms much easier.
Six days later, Taylor Farms made a $1,000,000 payment to Trump’s PAC was on March 26, 2025.
Statement from Annie Farmer on meeting with Todd Blanche:
"After meeting with Todd Blanche, I feel even more confident in urging senators to vote against his confirmation as the United States' Attorney General.
"I found him abrasive, condescending, and intentionally noncommittal to survivors."
Schiff: People are struggling right now. And what is the president focused on? Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on his own mug, on banners draped over federal buildings, like Stalin used to do..
If he needs to find more money, how about the 2.2 billion that he has corruptly absconded with
Todd Blanche is the worst Attorney General nominee in my lifetime. He’s under investigation by the Bar Association. This confirmation hearing isn’t bearing that out.
Schiff: The judge, in that decision on Monday, referred Blanche, basically, to the New York Bar Association because of his conduct.
How is it possible that after being referred to the bar association for potential discipline on Monday, we’re contemplating this guy for attorney general on Wednesday?
We cannot accept the reckless use of deadly force by federal agents as normal.
There is a pattern of this administration misleading the public and withholding key facts after these killings.
Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen or heard from in 25 days in the hospital.
Yet he still has a job, still getting paid, and getting unlimited world class healthcare.
The man who voted against a living wage, against universal healthcare, and against guaranteed paid leave, is now getting all three.
DOGE officially ended over the weekend.
One of its crowning achievements was cutting $15M from the federal government’s screwworm monitoring program.
Now, the Trump administration is preparing to spend $1B to combat the screwworm outbreak.
"Efficiency."

The headlines have moved on, but Trump is still waging his reign of terror.
Trump bought over $12M in stock in companies like Apple and Nvidia right before pausing his tariffs.
And he bought $5M in Axon stocks just weeks before ICE sought a contract with them.
Today he abruptly announces an end to the Iran ceasefire...

Trump let crypto fraudsters off the hook.
Meanwhile, he cashed in on crypto business to the tune of $1.4 billion.
The Grifter-in-Chief knows no bounds.
Microsoft is laying off 4,800 workers today.
Its CEO made $96.5M in 2025, a 22% increase from the previous year.
Microsoft made $101B in net income last year — and raked in up to $12.5B in tax breaks from Trump's Big Ugly Bill.
This is what a rigged system looks like.
It’s corruption on steroids in plain sight. He doesn’t even try to hide that he’s looting US and cashing in on insider trading. He’s the most corrupt president in American history.
