Work with what you have right now. Work with who you know right now. How many interviews/videos have you seen where the person who inspired you used some thrift store junk, or a stock plugin? The split second any other service so much as breathes wrong everyone is jumping on 10000 other platforms before the dust has settled, but the same people still using Spotify because it's "too hard to switch" to some other platform. Or some shit.

Currently (sort of) building my own CD player but I can't think of a cool design... I could aim for something clean and minimalistic but it would be nice to try something more experimental and anarchic
