it is odd in retrospect how easy it was for the “but trump ended his friendship with epstein” narrative to be accepted as fact

Adam Keiper@adamkeiper.com

Evidence "shows that Trump lied about kicking Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club," according to a new report from the House Judiciary Dem staff. The report also reveals for the first time Beatrice Keul's account of allegedly having been raped by Trump. democrats-judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

A reminder, because it is almost that time of year: More children are killed by cars on Halloween than any other day of the year, by far. www.vox.com/future-perfe... If you're a parent, I hope you'll do what you can to keep kids safe. If you're driving on Saturday, PLEASE exercise extra caution.

DOJ asks for clarity, and MJ says that he will not rubber stamp second complaint as DOJ has suggested. He won't sign it unless he has time to review and make probable cause finding...So for now we're going to move forward with preliminary hearing on basis of first complaint.

Just to make this concrete: if I picked a grain of sand somewhere on the earth’s surface, and you went to a random location on the planet with a pair of tweezers and by sheer luck picked up that very grain of sand first try, that would be MORE statistically likely than Trump not being a rapist.

Just a little back of the envelope math: Most research finds the rate of SA reports determined to be false after investigation to be 4-6 percent. Many can’t be conclusively proven or disproven, so let’s even imagine it might be as high as 12%. Applying that rate to Trump…

But culturally, they need a world in which sexual assault claims are presumptively false. Because if you acknowledge that the great majority are true, it becomes pretty much impossible to maintain that the dozens of accusations against Trump are all fabrications.

As many have noted, the Acton ad was a massive political own-goal from which even many Republicans recoiled in disgust. You can’t really explain Trump & Vance doubling down as any kind of rational electoral strategy.

The vile attacks on Amy Acton need to be seen in the context of a party that *needs* people to believe women fabricating sexual assaults is common as rainwater. Because it’s pretty much the only way to evade the conclusion that the president is a rapist.

Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States. "In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct." Report w/ new details: democrats-judiciary.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

I’m seeing people reacting by pointing out that he’s obviously wrong. I appreciate that, but it’s also a pointless exercise. The problem isn’t that he’s wrong. The problem is that this is normal in American politics — and it’s been normal for a while.

In Rowling's telling, the movement for trans equality isn't about trans people wanting to live comfortably and authentically post-transition, whether that means using men's spaces, gender-neutral spaces, or women's spaces. Instead it's about interlopers seeking to penetrate women's spaces only.

Look. Listen. Look. Look, I'm here for Interesting Dice Sets and yes, I would buy a standard black-and-white of these to add to my bag just for fun and giggles but. But the whole thing just makes me want to

The d4 is now a d12, with 1–4 printed three times to roll better and "increase randomness". Okay. I get that. Here for it BROADLY. Butcept the d6 is ALSO a d12. (With 1–6 printed twice.) "Grab your d12." Oops, THAT die has TWENTY FOUR SIDES do you see the problem, yet?

The d10 and d100 have THIRTY SIDES EACH and while the maths aren't mathing for me my primary concern is with these glittery-ass motherfuckers you CANNOT TELL ME that you can distinguish between a d24 & a d30 quickly and on sight when most people can barely tell the difference between a d12 & d20!!

Let's start with they are glittery af, making them hard to read and also hard to determine the number of facets. This is important because they have changed the number of sides on each of your polyhedric dice.

I used to think, if we could get everyone to see the *patterns* in reactionary lies & manipulations, the way they're always the same, we'd be better at guarding against them. But I've lost that faith. On some level people *want* to shut their frontal cortexes down & wallow in monkey-brain shit.
