bro, being wrong about something is not an opinion. an opinion is like whether you prefer coke or pepsi. which of the downward spiral or the fragile you think is better. being wrong about facts isn't it bro. that just means you're wrong.

We tried "everyone is entitled to an opinion" for three straight decades and all we have to show for it is four thousand cases of measles and a death cult running the government. It's time for people who don't know what they're talking about to shut the fuck up.

Convening a focus group of 30 people who have no idea what's going on and no expertise on basically any topic and just turning them loose. "Fuck me up," I tell them. "Just give me all the dumbest stuff you've got."

i think it's their pet hot button issue and so maybe they skimmed it, they thought i was saying the exact opposite of what i said, but it was still pretty funny

i love when someone angrily corrects me with something that is exactly what i said it's so funny

i am fairly certain that the third will be used to promote transphobia because the "yes" signs i've seen have it listed alongside the two overt ones with large text saying "protect our children"

like this election here in colorado we have two* anti-trans foot-in-the-door bills on the ballot. those are incredibly important to stop *potentially three, depending on the plan for the sex trafficking of minors measure

i not only like voting, i prefer to do it in person on election day. i think standing in line and seeing everyone waiting to do it is very cool and energizing

It's good, I just don't like the people who only engage with civics and politics to vote and go right back to head-in-the-sand

i'm not saying you're obligated to vote for a candidate who wants you dead. i'm just pointing out that if it truly didn't matter at all, if it could never make a difference, there wouldn't be such a concerted effort to restrict it

if you don't want to vote for any candidate you don't have to! you can leave that spot blank if you want! that's entirely allowed! but there are also ballot measures and shit that do make a very real difference

voting is not going to fix the underlying injustices of the system but it can keep you alive for hopefully long enough to do that through other means

it really kind of sucks when the people with probably good ideas for governance don't vote because "it never makes a difference"

they put a lot of time and effort and money into making it so fewer people can vote. your enemies aren't cartoonish buffoons

like they aren't doing that for no reason. they are doing that to consolidate power. if you can't vote you can't vote them out of power. obviously

i feel like if it weren't at all important or capable of making some kind of a difference it wouldn't matter enough for the GOP to want to take it away

if every news publication is some flavor of fascist where are people meant to learn about what is happening. headlines and angry captions they skimmed on bluesky? dont just yell about the problems try to offer solutions!!!

idk it feels like if youre telling people not to use a specific news publication when seeking out news is a rarity it might be good to have some better alternatives ready to go as suggestions

back downstairs because my sister and her husband are having their d&d group over. the internet sucks so bad down here

it will also mean i'm gonna have to sleep without my CPAP which sucks. because i'm staying out of her way and left it upstairs

i wish my mom would ever listen to me. she still sees the chiropractor who used a percussive tool on my dislocated collarbone and then raised my arm (which hurt a lot as he did this) and said "great! no pain"

he is a charlatan worse than the rest. he faked x-rays. the "informational" video i had to watch said that proper spinal alignment is necessary to help god's light shine through. i hate him

got a vape. it is supposed to be dr pepper flavored which i can see except it's like dr pepper from a machine where they need to replace the syrup bag. it's so bad it might actually help me quit again

it's possible to vote — especially if you literally can, in a fascist landscape dedicated to disenfranchisement — and recognize that it's not the only or best solution to long-term change!

The part of the election runup where every day brings videos of Trump getting up in front of some battleground audience in his dumb hat and going "frankly you're terrible people, really disgusting. A bunch of stupid people and their awful kids. [long break for laughter and applause] Ugly as shit,"

i hope i can heal enough to someday let myself be touched in a loving way without it making me uncomfortable

sometimes you do gotta sit down and bask in the "the only piece of AI-generated media to gain widespread cultural recognition was We Are Charlie Kirk, and that had nothing to do with its quality" of it all

i said AI is a fascinating field of study and someone compared it to nuclear missiles being fascinating. come on

@remdacted.bsky.lol

i think people on both sides of the AI debate give AI far more credit and power than it really deserves
