I ate 3 hard boiled eggs for lunch today and felt like a king, but the shells were stuck to the eggs. I realized then that I was just a mere peasant unable to hire someone to peel my eggs, someone else to cook them properly, and my lunch break was over. That basically sums up 2025 so far on my end.

Crockett: I am tired of the white tears. When you compare me to Marjorie Taylor Greene or me to Lauren Boebert, there is no comparison. So the only people that are crying are the mediocre white boys that have been beaten out by people that historically have had to work so, so much harder

I have fought to defend democracy in my past. I’ve spent the last 20 years telling myself I’ve done my part. In reality, I stopped fighting when I laid down the uniform and have been complacent and by default a part of the problem during that time. My personal fight may be small, but I will fight

If the Democratic leadership in Congress does not want to use democracy, we would like to borrow it for a time.

Sweet! The guy who tried to have historic buildings torn down so he could build a storage unit complex is now wait for it……. Chairman of Savannah’s Historic Preservation Commission! This fucking blows! #savannah #historicdistrict

Thank you Giants and Patriots! Because of you both my beloved Titans are finally the best in the NFL at something. Even if that something is being the worst at everything! The fact that the offseason has begun and we have the #1 pick is honestly the highlight of this Titans fans season! #nfl

Why are Bezos, Zuckerberg, Musk, Pichai and Tim Cook visiting and giving money to Trump ? Because they are in “The Race “ to become the dominant platform in the world. Amazon/Anthropic vs FB/LLama vs Google/Gemini vs Twitter/Grok, vs IPhones/ChatGpt is the penultimate global power war ever.

Patrons raise a glass to Jimmy Carter at Pinkie Masters in downtown Savannah. It was here in 1978 that the then-president hopped atop the bar to eulogize original owner Luis Christopher Masterpolis, a political power broker in Georgia whose early support helped Carter win the White House.

The landings is a massive gated community near Savannah! Much of the land was a part of the 40 acre and a mule program after the civil war. That land was then taken back and now is a mostly all white, wealthy, gated community. It’s a shame more people aren’t aware of it. #savannah #savannahga

If you’ve never watched It’s a Wonderful Life give it a go. It’s not schmaltzy. It’s raw. It’s very 2024. About the little guy against the machine. Humans against economies. About why we matter. About the difference a life can make. About why we should stay alive.

"I think I'm beginning to get it - if it's a policy benefiting the rich, then it doesn't have to be paid for, should last forever, and is good for America. But if it benefits the poor, we can't afford it, we should end it as soon as possible and it will destroy our nation from within." - Jon Stewart

Long skeet incoming! I’ll never forgive our elected officials for not passing a spending bill and letting the government “shutdown” back in September 2013 happen. I had accepted a new position within my company that required me to travel to Baltimore, MD for training on the companies dime.

At the time, Congress couldn’t agree on a spending bill. The day I traveled to Baltimore, the govt shut down, and that included Arlington National Cemetery. I couldn’t visit Andrew’s grave, while I was in town.

I had a very close friend of mine that I served with and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery I was beyond excited to go visit him and equally felt guilt for not having made the trip to see him before now out of my own pocket.

I just clapped when the credits started rolling! Mind you….its just me, my wife, and dog on our couch. Beautifully told story and top notch acting. The only sad thing is I hadn’t even heard of this movie until I went searching on the internet and found it. One of my faves of 2024!

Crazy to think that I was there, in country, when this happened.

I love that they've been doing it for 97 years and have been very clear the whole time that it's not an award or endorsement and people still every single time lose their minds over Time's Person of the Year
