The world might look very different right now if Judge Boasberg had been able to hold contempt proceedings in 2025 & the administration had been held accountable. Instead, emboldened by his success, Trump continues to treat the courts like a game to be played. joycevance.substack.com/p/consequenc...
In Trump’s America, the only “harm” SCOTUS sees is not letting Trump do whatever the hell he wants as soon as he wants, as incompetently or cruelly as he wants. No other harm exists, is relevant, or could possibly outweigh that, apparently.
In dissent, Jackson harshly criticizes the per curiam, unsigned majority's treatment of irreparable harm.

Justice Jackson: This "violates well-established precedents concerning this Court's equitable discretion and needlessly injects chaos and uncertainty into the upcoming midterm elections. It also lets another shoe drop in the Kafkaesque nightmare that our precedents have been steadily creating."

This ruling is so nakedly corrupt, partisan, and antithetical to the rule of law, they don’t even try to hide it.
#BREAKING: Over public dissents from the three Democratic appointees, #SCOTUS grants stay of district court injunction in Alabama redistricting cases, clearing the way for Alabama to use its 2023 map.

Republican gerrymanders have targeted 17 Democratic House seats in 2026. 12 were Voting Rights Act districts, have Black or Latino incumbents, or both—that’s 71%. Now another seat could end up with a white Dem opposed by most Black voters if Wasserman Schultz wins the primary with a low plurality
After Florida’s GOP gerrymandered her seat, Debbie Wasserman Schultz will run in heavily Black FL-20 instead of the open FL-22. She reps. just 2% of it but could win a plurality in a primary vs. several Black Dems. The map already targeted a Latino Dem & would eliminate a Black Dem too if she wins

Today, #WarriorNun article from @cancelledscifi.bsky.social has been updated. Without the fandom, there would have never been the #SaveWarriorNun campaign. Although it didn’t turn out the way we wanted, it brought us together and changed each of our lives & helped support many amazing charities.

another guy who never protested before radicalized to the point of tears by watching masked ICE agents terrify children in his neighborhood the Republicans are not ready or mentally capable of comprehending the backlash they have generated
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social

Don’t make the mistake of lumping this in with weekly Trump outrages. This is the knife at the jugular of democracy. It should be an absolute call to maximum resistance for all patriots. Trump, in an Escalation, Calls for Republicans to ‘Nationalize’ Elections www.nytimes.com/2026/02/02/u...
Stop believing/saying “they can’t stop/subvert/take over the 2026 elections.” They are literally laying the groundwork for this with the Fulton County ballot seizure, to justify the b.s. Trump is spouting.
Trump: "These people were brought to our country to vote, & they vote illegally. The Republicans should say, we should take over the voting in at least 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting. We have states that I won that show I didn't win. You're gonna see something in Georgia"

MAGA losing its collective mind over on The Bad Place accusing Rep Omar of orchestrating this, which of course Trump had suggested in the press (see article). Remember, whenever he accuses others of doing something bad it’s often because he’s the one doing or has done them.

We owe it to videos taken by brave Minnesotan eyewitnesses for exposing the lies of Kristi Noem, Greg Bovino, Kash Patel, Stephen Miller & Karoline Leavitt. While these often anonymous bystanders have the right to record, they do so at great risk; Pretti was initially targeted for recording ICE.

Everything they learned in Minnesota they’re applying in Maine from day one. They started off doing fast-moving snatch and grabs on the street, recording and using facial id on observers, and threatening observers directly. They’ll do it all where you live too.
Why is the msm outside of Maine not covering this? It seems like a huge and very troubling story to me. ICE coming to observers houses or calling them on the phone warning them to back off??!! www.pressherald.com/2026/01/23/i...
As they should. We also, though, cannot forget all the other people ICE/CBP have killed, imprisoned in sub-human conditions, illegally taken and detained, disappeared to foreign countries… The fight doesn’t end with ICE out of MN.
Needless to say that Renee Good and Alex Pretti will go down as heroes here in Minnesota and nationally, their names synonymous with sacrifice and caring for vulnerable neighbors even at the risk of your own life. And hopefully no more innocent lives are lost.

Here's the thing, Greg — free speech is still protected by the First Amendment under the Constitution. If you want folks to stop saying you're the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people, maybe stop acting like the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people.
Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."
