“Nobody invokes the Insurrection Act over people walking down the street with signs. It doesn't happen.” 🙄
Trump and his allies are *openly* floating using the Insurrection Act to seize voting machines or ballots in order to upend an election they expect to lose.
Wait a minute. Seems like dressing down a voter is a classic MAGA move. This is not dressing down the kid, who was paid to attend and attempted to dress down Abdul El-Sayed.
First, Thomas Teepell is not a voter. He lives in a different state. He was a political plant. Or, if you will, a paid protester. He is an agitator.
Second, Abul El-Sayed responded with more patience than most people could muster.
Calling him an angry, overly defensive jerk is you projecting.
Apparently some things never change—because there's always a small part of the population that fucks it up for everyone else. This is why the popular vote has to be the way a President is elected; the will of the people is being overridden by a third of the country.
Elon Musk is the top political donor of this midterm election, a report shows. Our reporter Theodore Schleifer explains how Musk, the world's richest man, came back from a brief rift with President Trump and Republicans to become a central player. trib.al/8zaFISN
Natalie isn't very informed either, and she probably wrote it. "Anyway, somewhere in the third world." *rolls eyes* "Whatever."
I had to verify that this is real, because there are a lot of fake Trump quotes out there.
It’s corruption on steroids in plain sight. He doesn’t even try to hide that he’s looting US and cashing in on insider trading.
He’s the most corrupt president in American history.
Neiman Marcus closed its downtown Dallas flagship on Wednesday. The store played a notable role in the history of desegregation in Dallas.
Previously, Black shoppers across the US could enter department stores, but they weren't allowed to try on clothes without adhering to certain conditions. 🧵
I’ve been asked to weigh in on the debate over whether to bring an iced coffee to an interview.
It doesn't matter.
Iced coffee is NOT why it's hard to land a job right now, and it's NOT why Gen Z can't get ahead.
Our economy is rigged. We need to change that.
Just in case it wasn’t clear, when they say the U.S. Government’s paying for this, that’s YOUR taxpayer dollars they’re using.
I’ll say this as many times as I need to: it is ILLEGAL to use American taxpayer dollars from the government to pay for candidates’ or parties’ political ads.
It's already estimated that the richest 1% alone evade $163 billion in taxes every year.
But Trump gutted the IRS — including the unit tasked with auditing billionaires. The agency's audit revenue fell 35%.
Now, Trump's IRS is not publishing data on unpaid taxes.
See the problem?
Trump invited his billionaire pals to the state dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping last night.
Since he’s been back in office, the wealthiest households have gained 8,000 times more wealth per household than the bottom 50% of households.
It’s clear who he governs for.
There are more billionaires in the Epstein files than cases of undocumented immigrants voting over the last 25 years.
But those same billionaires, including Trump and Musk, want you to focus on their voter suppression bill so you won’t focus on their alleged Epstein crimes.
I’m not on the bad site anymore but if someone could tell Cornyn and Cruz to invoke the 25th, that would be great. Or any Rs, actually. That might mitigate the fact that they have no spine and handed their balls to yahtzees.
As Trump tries to ban CNN from the White House, it would be a massive mistake to cave on the Paramount merger.
The last thing we need is another Trump-controlled media conglomerate abusing its power to stomp out competition.
This is a dangerous merger.

The prices for fuel on Trump's first day in office would be similar to the prices on Biden's *last* day in office.
Remember that when the gaslighters in the Trump regime tell you Trump inherited the current high prices from Biden.
National average for gallon of gas...
Trump's first day in office: $3.12
Today: $4.37
(40.1% increase)
National average for gallon of diesel...
Trump's first day in office: $3.72
Today: $6.39
(71.8% increase)
I’d like to remind my fellow Texans that Paxton is spending other people’s money to spread his lies about anyone and everyone running against him. He doesn’t care whose money, where it comes from, just what he can do with it. He’s the worst person in Texas government right now.
