If Ace Combat, Fire Emblem, Grand Gourmet, Switch Sports Resort and Grand Gourmet weren't ALL this month, I would be ALL OVER Star Wars Galactic Racer right now. All of the clips I'm seeing of it look incredible. Definitely wishlisting that for the future.

Wanted to share a big thanks to everyone who's already watched the first 6 parts of my Fortune's Weave playthrough! I know A LOT of you are waiting to watch until you've played/beaten it so the fact that we've already amassed over 150K views on the first six parts is AWESOME! 💕

Got halfway through Dietrich's route on my flight! A little tonal whiplash from what I'm used to with Leda's route but Fabio is carrying it so far. Having a great time.

This "Anime That Shaped Me" trend was tough because while these aren't necessarily my 9 favorite anime, each of these had an indisputable hand in getting me from watching Pokémon as a seven year old to covering anime/manga as part of my career.

Fun Fact: The Kylo Ren/Byleth moment was a purposeful call back to when my chat said Kylo Ren was going to show up in Ridley's trailer: youtu.be/05RsPzYmpSQ?... (timestamped to the OG moment) My audience knows I'm obviously a big FE fan so I knew it was FE3H but it made for a great clip, haha

Fortune's Weave is somehow even better than I was expecting it to be. Five hours felt like ONE. There hasn't been a character I've disliked, it's an excellent challenge and the production value has never been higher in a FE. Really looking forward to playing more tomorrow!

I was impressed by all of Widow's Bay's Emmy wins for Best Comedy so we watched the first episode last night and it's a "comedy" the same way The Martian was. Does it get funnier or keep the Twin Peaks vibe? I love the latter so I'm fine with that but it feels miscategorized.

If they ever switch over the official English release of One Piece to AI translations, I will go back to scans. Full stop. I am Mr. Official all the way but this one thing would make me hit the high seas indefinitely. Took the survey and left a paragraph. Please do the same!

Extremely happy they're actually going to follow through with Wizard of Oz as the focus of the next game. A souls game set in that world has so many possibilities. Lollipop Guild horde boss, horrifying gothic Tin Man battle, flying monkeys as your basic mobs...

I'm on Book 2 of Dungeon Crawler Carl right now and JUST got to the Pestiferous Vine. Imagine something like that in a field of poppies that put you to sleep if you stand still too long. I really feel that, if they nail the vibes, it could be an absolutely generational game.

Rolled credits on Splatoon Raiders and I genuinely can't believe how much I enjoyed it. As someone who was very much in the "This looks fine" camp when it was first announced (and even after the Direct), I'm THRILLED with the final game & hope they keep with the sub-franchise!

As someone who has 100%'d the game, all the Emerald Rush DLC and keeps up with all of the events, I can safely say DK Bananza is STILL one of my Top 10 favorite games of all time a full year later. 🍌 I get that it's not for everyone but when it clicked for me, it CLICKED.

If you're bored with one layer that should be your sign to move on and come back because a future power-up will definitely make whatever it is you are trying to do much easier and more manageable. Also, THE MUSIC! The love & care they gave the DK cast! EVEN VOID KONG WAS GREAT!

RogersBase
@rogersbase.com

Anyway all this to say Donkey Kong Bananza is still my Game of the Year last year and I don't see it getting dropping as my No. 1 DK game anytime soon. Great game!

DK's mobility is at its most fluid in Bananza and once you've got it down, you enter a flow state that feels more in line with a 3D Mario speed run than a DKC.

RogersBase
@rogersbase.com

I think a lot of people played trying to get every banana before moving to the next layer & that's absolutely the WRONG WAY to play. Reminds me of people who complained that there was too much side content in FF7R that they felt they HAD to clear before getting to the next area.

RogersBase

Rhythm Heaven Groove sold half of Fever's lifetime sales in one weekend & Star Fox is estimated to have already outsold Star Fox Zero's lifetime sales. Pair this with Tomodachi Life selling so much that they had to include it in their reports early... The future looks bright!

RogersBase

I've always thought a "my first city management" Bowser game that takes place right after the ending of a Mario game where Bowser and Jr. have to rebuild the Koopa kindgom would be a perfect Nintendo take on the genre the way Pikmin was for RTS games. Call it "Bowser & Son" Print money! 💰

RogersBase
@rogersbase.com

You could gather resources by having Hulk/Bananza/Crackdown bits in-between the city building where Bowser reeks havoc on classic Mario environments. Essentially make a Bowser ActRaiser! People would go wild for it AND it'd fill a current hole in Nintendo's catalog of franchises.
