I keep getting these tiktok ads where they show just the lowest quality content farm garbage. Someone pretending to fillet a toy fish. A guy doing an ad read for some gloves. Car hamburger. I get this is what the app serves you, but is this really a draw for anyone? "Follow for more glove ads"?

nice wip, mind if I totally derail what you're doing by jumping several steps ahead in the process and point out all the work you haven't done yet?

great news! through the mystical power of cinema my soul has been nourished and I feel like a real human being again👍 not gonna lie though this movie probably hits a little different if you worked at queen and spadina for 10+ years

why did they live above the ramen place that my coworkers always want to go to even though everything there is kinda bland

let's all get really into spaghetti squash or something

I feel like november needs a seasonal food to really make it pop. Not an american thanksgiving food, since half of that meal gets repeated in christmas/easter, but something like it. Maybe we could all get really into spaghetti squash or something.

if you're canadian, come complain to the government with me ✋

much hay being made about the legality of the white house demolition, but I think there is more rhetorical value in talking about how the current US administration is enshrining the importance of the rich by grafting a place for them to the capital

SO much of the cultural and artistic nostalgia that society chases was just art made when people got paid to do it. Lavish movie posters made by human artists, video games made by people without sixteen different investment companies breathing down their neck, movies made by studios taking a chance.

but watch out

I think it should be normalised for webcomic creators to take several months hiatus' to reboot, recoup, and relax before jumping back into the grind. Take that break

as a former teenager, my first thought is to get around this by looking up a couple videos about finance or whatever and laugh about beating the system

I would like it if instead of trying to offer me a partial refund due to poor service, the provincial and federal governments would build as much public housing as possible idk i feel like there was enough money there to make a bit of a dent

maybe doug could hire some nurses with the money we'd save from not ripping up all the major roads in toronto to satisfy his idiotic war on bikes

Art drawn by people who very rarely make art and think they are “bad at art” is 1000x cooler than AI art. It’s life-affirming. It’s often unexpected. I cannot overemphasize how much I love when people just go for it. You do not need the machine for this human endeavor.

the problem with steampunk is that the interesting thing about the little gears and brass tubes is looking at how they function in the context of a Device, but that's really hard so we just like, glue a couple gears to a hat

it'd be wild if someone actually like- blueprinted out steampunk anything, but i'm just sayin' the best steampunk for my money is imagining situations while watching restoration videos of a brass candy roller or some other kind of contraption

it's the same problem that every 3d cartoon with a train in it runs into. what do you mean i have to actually model a mostly-functioning train for it to look right

things like pneumatic tube systems are interesting because the functionality of it is revealed in the visual, and you can see the mechanism behind the magic, if it works like teleportation there's no point functionally, it's one-way mail. put that tube in a situation

"why would someone in toronto want to ride a bike" i just want to go to the store and buy my little objects in under an hour without having to find a parking spot bro

This just isn't reality. I drive and most of the time it takes LESS time than transit- especially if there are 2+ transfers. Literally if i'm running late I will drive to save time because it's faster than taking the TTC.

Matt Elliott@graphicmatt.com

"It is painful to drive downtown," says Councillor Lily Cheng. "And it shouldn't be painful. It should be something pleasant. Does it have to be at full speed? Maybe not .. but we have to acknowledge there are people in our city who do not have the luxury of taking transit."

of course, we could also solve this problem by keeping things that attract out-of-town people that need to use a car / large vehicle in more car accessible parts of the city, like say, not putting the ontario science center in the heart of the downtown core?

If it wasn’t for those gatekeeping athletes, all of us could’ve had gold medals by now. This is why I’m asking for your help, by investing in A.I.thlete, you will empower the next generation of AI champions who don't want to have to lift shit or run in a field just to qualify for some elitist games.

why'd google take out the "no I meant what I said" button none of this helps me figure out what kind of hat the e is supposed to wear, which tbh is one of my primary reasons for googling things

You are up to date.
