One week today on Halloween 🎃, come find me at booth D1 at Penti-Con! My comic @thistlethecomic.bsky.social is filled with horrors to match the season! Get your Thistle spooky stickers while you're here! Can't wait to see the costumes and meet comic book fans!

Artists, QP your character who looks expensive. (Not my character, but from my terminally stalled Sandman tarot project circa 2021 or so: Desire)

I’m writing a #DnD adventure for my family and my son, who’s obsessed with Legend of Zelda, wanted a homebrew #korok character, so I painted up this design for him tonight. Everyone, this is Lucky. Lucky, this is everyone. #art #painting #illustration

Share your mood for the weekend! 🖤

With comics you are actually interacting with art, with drawings in a way you don't do even in animation. You read, think, read, think, repeatedly. Consider everything from the expression of the line to whatever thoughts the text evokes. As complex as you make it. The most active consumption of art.

I just backed Space Hell on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/djk...

A lot of writing for comics is about rhythm. It's changing that to this:

As regards AI in the work place: If you want fewer rats on the ship, stop shipping rats. #jobs #work #ai

Drop some punches.

I’m once again deeply humbled by the work @schiekapedia.bsky.social has put into the cover for A Plague of Nightmares. Here’s the final cover. Especially love the buildings and other red eyes he added.

What? Oh, this? Oh, this is just a copy of Detective Comics #1000 signed by Neal Adams with certificate of authenticity that I found for $10. No bigs. #comics #batman #nealadams

Clocked another 2 rejections today. One of them was a big one. So, that’s 0 for 200+ attempts so far. I keep telling myself that something’s gotta give…But it never does. #jobs #work #jfc #fml

Well, my nefarious Sea monkeys, can we get to 50 backers by the time the sun retreats and the terrors emerge? www.kickstarter.com/projects/sid...

Have you *seen* The General? The entire movie is a chase scene told comically. Hell, at one point he nearly shoot his own train with his own cannon, in a single take/single shot. Just brilliant.

Been a while since I’ve done any new #Batman #art, but since it’s #battober? #Batober? Anyway, here’s some #bats. #comics #artwork #artist

I lucked out when I bought the regular hardcover and some remarqued copies became available so I paid for the upgrade. ZERO regrets. #fulltilt #comics #makecomics
