The conservative Cato Institute looked at the Trump Admin's claims that illegal immigrants are costing taxpayer money by using services. They concluded that immigrants have CONTRIBUTED (not cost) $1.7 trillion. www.cato.org/blog/white-h...
The Trump tax on oil is a little over 22%. J.P. Morgan says oil should be $94/barrel based on supply and demand, but it's currently $115 (brent crude). That's $21 PER BARREL that's just there to pay for the risk. What's the risk? Getting through the Strait of Hormuz. www.axios.com/2026/10/26/o...
A typical Trump move. Spend what others have built up. For him, there is no tomorrow, there is only what he wants right now. For context, in '82 the US pop was 231 million w/ ~160 million vehicles. Today it's 350 million w/ ~297 million vehicles. www.oilandgas360.com/u-s-strategi...

How can the DOJ sue over something that hasn't happened yet? Blanche is a stain on the legal profession.
Blanche on CBS says his suit against Alaska is "asking the court to step in where the Alaska Supreme Court didn't, which is to look at federal law and if necessary to allow a process for Alaska to decide who should be certified as the winner." (So, the voters won't get to decide. Got it.)

Check out how easy this is.
Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

Are there ANY Republicans who are willing to call this out for the insane BS it is?! A Russian company controlling American gas? You're ok with this GOP? Sen. Collins, are you concerned yet? @troyjackson207.bsky.social would actually be working to stop it if he were Senator right now.
Trump's waiver of energy sanctions on Russia has an even darker, more corrupt, side that initially thought. Trump is planning to allow a Russian energy giant to control a big chunk of energy exports from Alaska. Trump and his cronies profit; America loses. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/u...

I'm no fan of the Dan S. Sullivan vs Dan J. Sullivan thing. It's not a serious attempt to win by Dan J. However, anyone who meets the criteria should be able to run. The idea that DOJ is suing BEFORE the election is a joke. But so is this DOJ. thehill.com/homenews/cam...

40,000 metric tons ~ 290,000 barrels of diesel. The US burned about 2.9 million barrels a day in 2025. This shipment might last about 1/10th of a day, or 2.5 hours. This shipment is about 1/8th of the total. So Trump sold Ukraine out for... roughly 20 hours of diesel. www.kyivpost.com/post/87760

THEY ARE NOT POWERLESS TO STOP HIM! Go back to Washington, stand on the steps of the Capitol and demand Johnson and Thune recall the House and Senate, and impeach him. THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK! THERE IS LITERALLY AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL! (It's called the Constitution.)
Republican lawmakers are incensed about Trump's dismissal of Ukraine — and powerless to stop him. That frustration hit a new peak on Monday as they sought to address Trump’s decision to purchase Russian diesel, waive sanctions on Moscow, and potentially stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.
I'm so, so sick of today's GOP.
As usual, every MAGA accusation is an admission: Trump calls anyone who does not support him "a paid protester." The reality is that the MAGA movement is hiring professional agitators. The father of the Michigan heckler has a $250,000 contract for hiring people to disrupt Democratic events.

Not every vile and disgusting thing this admin makes the news. In part, that's because they do so many horrible things. Trump's disdain for govt is well understood. Rubio's is actually surprising to me. I didn't like him, but I did think he was mostly a serious person.
The State Department has now covered up the memorial to the 321 American diplomats who died serving their country abroad. I personally knew a number of those dead heroes who gave their all serving their country. Some were killed along with their families. Trump and Rubio have erased them.
I know people want to scream at Trump voters who are only now figuring out it's a scam, but we need to bring them back into the fold of sane people and keep them there to stop the NEXT Trump from happening.
ARIZONA TRUMP VOTER: “I regret it… This presidency always benefits the powerful while the poor at the bottom struggle.”
Kevin Hassett is a master liar. His ability to ignore data and misrepresent what is happening is 2nd only to Donald Trump.
Hassett: "If economic polls were correct, then people wouldn't be taking trips to nice hotels, they wouldn't be flying, they wouldn't be buying cars, they wouldn't be doing all the things they do when they're feeling good about the economy... people are acting like we're in a boom. We are in a boom"
Exactly right. Niemöller's words lay out the shift in the Overton Window that occurred then. Amb. Fairfax had laid out the first verse of the shift we're currently seeing. Fascism arrives bit by bit, not all at once. And we know in the US it'll be wrapped in the flag and holding the Bible.
Trump is taking us straight back to 1939... Martin Niemöller continues to sound the warning bell, all his immortal words need now is a couplet about "They came for non-Whites, and I did not speak out, because I am White."

Do EVs and heat pumps deliver no carbon savings until the grid is fully decarbonised? A recent paper claimed so. It's wrong. Even running entirely on gas-fired power, both cut emissions by about half. Our open-access response in Environmental Research: Energy: iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1...

When the things we absolutely have to use, like gasoline, get more expensive then retail sales go up. This doesn't show the resilience of the economy, it shows people are trapped. I can tell you I feel pretty fucking good about buying a Chevy bolt in 2021. www.reuters.com/business/us-...
Trump is tanking the economy, Bessent failed miserably to placate bond investors, and the AI/Data Center bubble looks poised to pop. When the only way to lower bond yield is for private equity to crash and burn, that seems bald for a capitalist economy. www.benzinga.com/markets/bond...

If I had to guess, PCHC was near bankruptcy because the GOP opposes raising reimbursement rates. "We can't afford it!" says the party that's paying $600 million for fucking ballroom, hundreds of millions more for an arch, and hundreds of billions on an unnecessary and illegal war.
Congratulations Susan Collins on such a creative, deft, and novel political approach - support an administration run amuck ripping apart the fabric of our healthcare and then at election time crow about some begged crumbs that may stave off disaster for a few months. #MESen #mepolitics #VoteBlue

Nothing could be less shocking than the Trump regime opposing a court designed to root out criminality.
NEWS: Eight major U.S. allies—including Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan—have issued a joint rebuke of the Trump regime’s sweeping sanctions on the International Criminal Court. They vow “unwavering support” for the ICC’s independence.

Hastert was a monster, pure and simple. He hurt so many kids. Less monstrous, but still bad, he damaged our political system. The Hastert rule was a contributor to our polarized Congress. Then there was the Bush tax cut. And I remember him salivating as he led the impeachment of Clinton, too.
