A fantastic actor who never got the credit he deserved not just for his vulnerability and willingness to commit, but for his range. If you only know him from STAR TREK, go watch his BABYLON 5 episodes and see him play a truly gnarly sci-fi villain. Safe travels in the Final Frontier, Mr. Koenig.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

When I rewatched the original Land of the Lost on streaming a few years ago, it matched my fun, old childhood memories of it... until I hit this episode where it really becomes the good stuff. So good I ran to IMDB and was disappointed that the TV world didn't give Koenig more writing chances. RIP.

Star Trek's Walter Koenig wrote this episode of Land of the Lost, the previous episode was Norman Spinrad of Bug Jack Barron fame.

RIP Eric Bauza, an amazingly talented voice artist. Just incredible in his ability to create original voices and recreate classic characters perfectly. Also by all accounts one of the kindest people out there. Way too young! Condolences to his family and many friends.

Just a heads up; lots of discussion online regarding Switch 2 reverse engineering. Data is cropping up, and models are being converted - however, we won't be accepting contributions for Switch 2 titles at this time. This may be disappointing to some, but it's self preservation.

I'm working on the HorrorThon, but part of me wants to stop and draw Speedtype Horowitz. It's not even the weirdest dream I've had within the past week, but definitely the most complicated.

In the dream I had last night, DC's line-wide event had heroes being beaten by random (?) newcomers with similar powers. A Grant Morrison comic had Flash lose to ex-lawyer Speedtype Horowitz whose increasing speed that helped him win cases got to the point where he just started fighting crime...

So, yeah, if I ever have a story with a lawyer-turned-superhero named Speedtype Horowitz who found out he had super-speed by accidentally setting a typewriter on fire while typing on it, you'll know why.

I wake up and go over a friend's house, who in hindsight I don't recognize. As I'm telling him about the dream, I almost refer to the Flash by his real name and he says, "Hey, stop. You had the Speedtype Horowitz dream too, right? Don't say any superhero's real name from now on."

I get sent on an mission I can't remember now that required A LOT of walking, seeing new superheroes (or villains), and reading the store signs, thinking, "If THIS is a dream, why can I read these signs, episode of Batman: TAS?" with maximum sarcasm. Did a lot more walking and woke up again.

... because it was more efficient. None of the old heroes were accused of crimes and while the heroes and side characters wondered why it was happening, it was being cheered by almost everything else. Never got to read the rest to find out who was behind it because I woke up.

Ah yes my favorite topic as someone with total aphantasia, who people LOVE to claim are utterly helpless without AI help. My mind cannot conjure images, sounds or any sensations. No inner monologue. No dreams. And SDAM, so I don’t even have vivid memories And yet I draw. Without the shit machine :)

WNUF was a movie I always hoped to see on TLDI but didn't think we'd get it, and I'm glad the director got a chance to be there. It's not for everybody, but it's damn sure for me, and I hope more of the people it was for found it, too. #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #WNUFHalloweenSpecial

BTW: extra props to this movie for not having a fake Blockbuster ad, the small chain and Mom and Pop video stores were where all the real fun was in the 80s #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #WNUFHalloweenSpecial

For those too young, yes, this is how Satanic Panic was in the 80's. Yeah, I know, this sounds more like something from the 50's, but even TODAY, people will cry "AHHHHHHHHHH! SATAN" over anything from RPGs and music to Pokemon. #TheLastDriveIn

About the Mega Tape sequel: 1.) Tape Trader Tony has his own commentary track on the DVD and it is unhinged as hell. 2.) One offer had Tape Trader Tony's bootleg VHS catalog full of fake tape descriptions from the WNUF universe. Just as unhinged. #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #WNUFHalloweenSpecial

I think all the fake movies and shows from ads in the two movies are in it, including Sarcophagus, and there are dozens of other weird movie and show ideas that I want to see for real (or at least pop up as ads). If you got bootleg tapes back in the 90s, it would take you back.

Never thought I'd get to see Chris LaMartina and Joe Bob discuss the "Iron Maiden Rules, White Lion sucks" line on The Last Drive-In, so glad it's happening tonight. #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #WNUFHalloweenSpecial

Found Footage is almost like anthologies to me, where I don't like most of them, but the few I like are ridiculously my jam. Hell House LLC, Deadstream, very specific V/H/S stuff. #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #WNUFHalloweenSpecial

Weirdly, the main thing I remember from this movie is how much fun John Carpenter is as the host. Straight up "dang, it'd have been cool if he got to do this more" fun. #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #bodybags

My favorite Stacy Keach performance is in the Ninth Configuration. Nearly everyone else in it is a character actor wilding out while Keach's character somehow shines by playing off them for most of the film, because you can still tell something else is going on. #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #bodybags

Horror anthologies are mad hit-or-miss tome. Most are okay with one or two segments redeeming the whole thing, but a lot of 'em are just bad dumping grounds. Weirdly, the great ones so are amazing that they raise up the whole format. #TheLastDriveIn #mutantfam #bodybags
