Doing a casual survey of people's votes on www.headyversion.com I've compiled a list of the most likely top 10 Grateful Dead concerts for the jams, the more ad-lib exploratory songs, based on the number of times one of the jam songs is accounted for and the weight of votes. 1977 and 1972 win out ...
Barton Hall and Old Ren Faire Ground have significantly less packed setlists, but the belovedness and consistently #1 rank of the songs pushes them to the top. 5/8/1977 would be #1 if only for Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain, then there's Dancin' In The Streets, Morning Dew, Not Fade Away...

Not surprising anyone are the fantastic Barton Hall and Old Ren Faire, but The Spectrum and Bickershaw Fest rank higher than I'd guess. Jahrhundert, Raceway Park, and Sportatorium feel fairly appropriate. Branford Marsalis on MSG/Nassau makes those stand out more. And I'm glad Fillmore West made it.
My favorite The Onion throughline was the character they made out of Joe Biden in the wake of the Obama presidency.
I'm so disappointed when, right at the moment of a song that's supposed to be the most rocking, they drop all the drums out. My ear wants to hear kick, snare and cymbal going the fuck off with the main melody for a song like this, not some dubstep echo of a beat. Sounds good but shot in the foot.
๐ฉธTHE TEARS ARE HERE. ๐ฉธ You know that feeling when a game melody hits your ears and you instantly know itโs going to stay with you forever? Thatโs Bloody Tears. And soon youโll hear it in the game. We wanted to go beyond a tribute and tell Roseโs story through these unforgettable notes.

Anyway, here are 10 of my favorite covers in the last 6.8333 years. Jeremy kinda lets me riff however I want with a topic and has only given me notes twice. It always feels like I'm treating myself when I get to do one, and I hope my excitement for each game comes across.
The only real way to play Daytona USA in 2026 is in a bygone arcade in an ancient resort town in a sit-down cabinet where the monitor is washed out from decades of salt air blowing in from the nearby ocean...

Don't listen to infinitely-generated sound-gruel. There is a world of music made to speak to the human soul. Find even one recording that forces you to stop and take it in. Listen to a great song every morning and have a beautiful day.
Psycho Soldier respect came in! Hear it, feel it, live it!
The results and discussion of the Top 10 Video Game Soundtracks of 1987 is now live! In such a stacked year, what comes out on top? Watch and discover some truly classic gaming music with me, @jon.gvg.io, and @ash.gvg.io: youtu.be/Hln-m1PFxz0?...
Everything from Super Mario Bros to Super Metroid was an interative step of woah this is amazing, so it's hard to put a pin other than SMB, but I can remember the moment of life I committed to gaming and dropped other hobbies was after Chrono Trigger and waiting in a frenzy for Final Fantasy VII.
If you make games, make a bespoke indie game for someone's birthday. It could basically be Chase The Chuck Wagon but if they like games it'll flip their gourd. If you're a musician, record a birthday song, interpolate the melody into the person's favorite genre; pretend to be their favorite singer.
As a weekly visitor of both my local farmers market and game/hobby/tcg stores....a CD version or business card with steam code (if feasible?) would ABSOLUTELY work And it wouldn't be any more out of place than things like crafts as both were home made. Better than GenAI animal coasters and shirts
Release September 1st 1975, Blues For Allah is one of the quintessential "it's still so fucking hot outside but I can feel the first whiffs of an autumn breeze from around the corner" albums. Get the Halloween party started with side A, then confuse your friends with the Can-esque side B medley.
In my Ravenous elation I've picked up Metroid Prime 4 again. I'm sorry to say I do not think this is a good gameโข. If it gets good, it's taking its time. I'm glad to have it rather than not, it is betterยฎ than Other M, but marred by too many issues, and Miles being a Samus gleeb is not at the top.

Rebirth of Mothra II respect is due.
Check out this ersatz Yasunori Mitsuda jam.
I think this just means he spent a lot of time on the job talking to an AI girlfriend chatbot, got called out by his superior, tried claiming it was for "ideation" and had to stick by that claim for documentation and the production process, and it's spun wildly out of control.
Some more Gamescom reporting from me. When pushed to elaborate on what using Generative AI "as part of the ideation process" meant for those unfamiliar with the process, the Crazy Taxi series creator told me, "Today I would like to talk about Crazy Taxi: World Tour, and the time is limited."
So few if any bands were able to create such a great song 25 years into their career, as vital to the sound of the time it was made as it was in the arc of their artistic ourve. If you were out dancin' 25 years ago today, you knew it. If you were holed up in a depression void, you knew it.
On the subject of New Order, they also made the most egg cracky music video ever.

Probably the last time that had happened was this jammer and Roy Orbison (thank you again Jeff Lynne).

Most of all is Sol Valley, a vast expanse of practically nothing, with the actual levels being completely inorganically the corners of the map. This could've passed on Metroid 64 but not today. It is entirely too far of anything away with no visual interest and the music being paywalled* is vicious.
