I appreciate that people want a new Mass Effect, but the future where fans advocate for the work itself and not the people who make it is the one the vultures at EA want. If you'll take it however you get it, they can keep treating people who make what you love as expendable.

I don't say this to be like "actually fuck BioWare" but rather to say the best game/show/book/whatever is always whatever the fans imagine it COULD be before it actually comes out. we run the risk of forgetting the real tragedy of all these people losing their jobs by mythologizing The Perfect Game

I loved BioWare's games. all of them had their strong points and their weak points. we can never know What Might Have Been. but everyone who worked on them deserved to have their time and work respected and valued more than it was.

a cool thing about indie animation is that it's expected to save the entire industry, every show has to look better than the things the fans grew up on or it's a waste of time, there's no union to be found anywhere, no budget for any of it, and asking the audience to pay anything to watch is illegal

i spent 24 hours employed by a grocery store bakery. I failed to reset my sleep schedule for the 4AM start time and didn't sleep at all and then had a panic attack so severe I called in to quit. I'm on medication now so it's fine.
