We're extremely excited to share that Never Alone 2 has been selected to appear in the MIX Fall Showcase next Friday, September 4th in Seattle. We are bringing the very first demo of the game and are looking forward to meeting some of you there! https://bit.ly/3SHtxmz

Got behind on some environment stuff I was doing, so tried seeing what a Touro would look like up close for some motivation (a bit of animation + sfx work needed)

I’m happy to announce the release of a new open source 3D physics engine called Box3D. I’ve been working on this project for a few years now, but it represents over 20 years of experience writing physics engines for games. Read more here: box2d.org/posts/2026/0...

Discourse deliberately steers into the most useless intractable not-even-wrong framing that can be generated for any given issue. The meme doesn’t want the problem solved. If the problem were solved, people would stop propagating the meme. The meme wants to propagate.

“Europe needs air conditioning” is true, but it also feels like a talking point explicitly constructed so that people don’t have to pay attention to the effects of rapid climate change.

It’s too bad it will take them 20 years to also value their junior engineers when all their most experienced engineers retire with nobody to replace them.

Dare Obasanjo@carnage4life.bsky.social

Ford has rehired hundreds of senior engineers after replacing them with AI backfired and has cost the company billions of dollars. AI adoption is blamed for Ford being the most recalled automaker in the U.S. with 51 recalls covering over 11 million vehicles in the first half of 2026 alone.

Folks, Corpus Edax is 4€/$4 USD, if you'd like to spend an afternoon or two in a janky imsim RPG beating people up, this would hit the mark I think. This is also funding my current game!

The only way for books to survive is for everyone to write them in universally formatted paragraphs so readers can collect and order the paragraphs themselves. Imagine paying $5 “but then he woke up. It was all just a bad dream!” so that you can fix the ending of any story.

My biggest issue with Unreal ditching Blueprints isn't about if Blueprints is good or not. Unreal already removed one scripting system (UnrealScript) and replaced it with Blueprints claiming it was a huge improvement, etc. etc. Now they are going back to just text scripting with nothing visual?

So you are going to learn the new New System and hope they don't pull the rug out from under you again? It takes YEARS to master these tools. FWIW, I actually like both scripting options but for different jobs. For levels I usually prefer visual scripting.

I have been using Godot since 3.0 and been continually impressed with how the engine has been maintained and improved, I don't see any reason to change my mind now. I trust them to keep doing a good job

Rémi Verschelde@akien.bsky.social

I see some concerns raised about Godot's policy on contributions using AI. TL;DR: Godot isn't vibe-coded. As a whole, the Godot foundation and maintainers are fairly critical of AI usage, and don't make nor accept vibe-coded contributions. Godot doesn't include AI features nor intends to add any.

It is entirely possible that line of code entered by hand is 100% identical to one generated by AI. It is not possible to tell the difference. Expecting people to try to police that isn't realistic

Seeing a lot of my least favorite social media here on BlueSky lately: An ignorant person talking-down to those with actual skills, experience and accomplishments by repeating idiotic internet memes I left twitter to get away from these people.

I get that you feel like an expert because you’re repeating a meme from a YouTube video that made you feel safe. Perhaps though instead of spreading disinformation you should listen to people who know what they’re talking about? Or, you can become increasingly detached from reality and your peers

Did you know that any language can be bound to control the Godot game engine? Here's a quick test setup with minc running the game loop, drawing a mc test cube. All scripted in minc, no godot editor used. Running on macOS.

Quote with a little-known game you would recommend. INFRA: You're an engineer tasked with fixing failing infrastructure around the city while uncovering buried secrets. Bring machines and pumps back online before the city crumbles around you.

Recently I ran across a novice artist who was trying to pass off AI slop as their own hand-drawn work. Just don’t. We can all tell. Your integrity and vision are worth more than a shortcut. If you aren’t happy with your own ability, put the time in to get better.

Hugely sad. We've lost John Blanche. It's hard to know where to begin. He set fire to a generation's imagination, and those fires show no sign of stopping burning. His work very much illuminated the darkness.

ANNNNNNNND Burgle Supply Company (Good Boy) is now out. Any RTs/Shares/helping to spread the word is appreciated. It's the silliest game made by a studio with a very silly catalog of things.
