Seeing people act like 25 dollars is too much for an entree really underscores how little they value the labor of the people who cook for them and serve them, especially since food prices skyrocketed. Restaurant workers are critically under-compensated for their time and skills.

Skill issue sorry

Depending on the state, servers make way less than minimum wage, so now this server is being tipped (poorly if at all) on a half-price ticket for the work of a two-top, the kitchen has to split an order which is a pain in the ass, and its still complaints. Rude.

Thats because he sold that woman, whos name is Pantup Boob, by the way, to Squeedo Jar for 26 hundred credits. Rumor has it he started that car fire in the first place.

And based on those conversations, my experiences, and how the last decade has gone for lots of people I will say that you can't beat the system from the inside. You might win but in a bad system it's luck or privilege or fudging your values. The win you want can only come from changing everything.

Hi everyone let's talk about the Carlisle 52 series of cups, in particular the Carlisle 5216, a topic about which I am extremely normal. In my estimation, a triumph of thoughtful industrial design and is probably my favorite ever mass produced object. 🧵

Some friends are teaching their baby ASL as an early bridge to speech and they made the mistake of teaching her “want” as a concept. Now she wanders around the house signing “want” all the time as an expression of unfocused desire. They fucked up and made the baby invent the opposite of Buddhism.
