This is how you say “go fuck yourself sideways with a porcupine” in inspector general speak. Going to be interesting to see how the administration responds

The Empire of Man was not always a part of the #Warhammer setting, nor even just "of man" either! Initially they were the Men of the West, but with WFRP and Ravening Hordes The Empire would start a journey to being one of the most important nations in The Old World! #TOW #WarhammerCommunity

There was a quite campy sci-fi show from the mid-90s called Sliders. The concept was great - a ragtag band of characters lost the co-ordinates to get back to our reality, and every episode portalled to a new reality, trying to survive until they could jump to the next parallel universe.

Post your first RPG. I had already played Advanced Heroquest so quickly fell in love with WFRP. This opened my eyes to the rich tapestry of the Warhammer (Old) world in that era, and my love for TTRPGs. This remains my favourite edition to this day.

the great part about social media is every new day is a new opportunity to witness the worst thing you’ve ever seen

If you ask some types, the answer is sadly yes

Mike Galsworthy@mikegalsworthy.bsky.social

Border blunder: French pupils denied entry to the UK by British officials due to a trivial post-Brexit form error. 500-mile trip wasted, tourism lost, and goodwill gone. Sad for those kids and so frustrating. Is this really what the UK voted for?

Justice should be swift Forcing both the innocent and the guilty to live in limbo for years does untold damage to their mental health and that of their families

The Secret Barrister@barristersecret.bsky.social

The government’s ongoing refusal to engage with reality in the criminal justice system, while trotting out the same tabloid-pleasing headlines as its predecessors, is having catastrophic effects, day after day. The guilty acquitted, the innocent convicted, victims and defendants failed.

Alastair Campbell roasting a rattled Nigel Farage.🔥 “You are somebody who will exploit any problem going for your own political ends. Brexit was a fundamentally damaging thing to this country. That is your one legacy and you now don’t even want to talk about it.” #bbcqt

Can't articulate how weird it is to hear News Agents talk about how important it is to communicate Labour's policies to people, to NOT do a Biden, to see off Populism with well comm'd successes... And none of them broach about how outrageously the papers misrepresent everything *every* morning.

Well well well

Final US house race (in California) called and it's a flip for the Democrats. Final total is Republican majority 220-215. That's actually down one seat. It means the Republicans will have the second smallest majority (in % terms) in history. Second only to 1917-19.

Just throwing this out there, but back in Ye Old Internet Times the links you had already visited would be purple and links you hadn't been to would be blue and I'm wondering if that sort of paradigm might be useful for helping people spot social media accounts engaged in impersonation.

I'm at the National Assembly building. The army is here. And I just saw two soldiers in fatigues getting pushed around by belligerent ajusshis. and they looked legit scared.

Anyone who thinks our benefit system is too generous, has clearly had their common sense surgically extracted by the Daily Mail. Losing your job is financially catastrophic (esp for mortgage payers, who drop to just 12% of an average wage overnight). And our sickness benefits bill is similarly mean.
