What a show in LA on national TV. All the stars are in their bags tonight β€” Luka, Dame, Ja, Scott Foster. Don’t take these performances for granted on this stage.

This game must end, no matter the final score, with the Lakers and the Blazers and everyone in attendance swarming the refs and tearing them apart.

I would feel remiss if I didn't thank Minneapolis, once again, for this new era of ball in Portland:

Dear Minnesota: We thank you. And for Bridget Carleton. And, of course, The Replacements.

My favorite part of every Blazers game is my dog appearing from wherever he was snoozing, and he is genuinely concerned, has a "I'll put on some cocoa" vibe.

Even the interactions within a fanbase are radically different from the other sports. I feel like football and basketball fandoms are so much more support. "I hate this team and everyone that has ever liked this team, stay dead Grandpa Bill" is something I've only ever said about the Yankees.

I still think about it probably once a week. I was in HS and my Journalism teacher was from Rhode Island. Those first three games? I was obnoxious (Yankee fan, so redundant). Then came the slooooooowest death imaginable. Bastard was basically Homer here with the slow smile...that took a week.

IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN debuted on CBS #OTD in 1966. Here's the original opening w/ long-unseen sponsor tags for Coke and Dolly Madison. #TVSky #charliebrown #greatpumpkin #halloween

Alright, I know what I'm watching tonight. πŸŽƒ

The third Peanuts special, the Emmy-nominated "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," was first broadcast 60 years ago, on October 27, 1966. (The special lost the Emmy Award to Hanna-Barbera’s largely forgotten adaptation of β€œJack and the Beanstalk”…huh??)
