The article overall is very CEO-brained in thinking that the only thing that matters is IP, and the more products you release on your top performing IPs, the more success you get. Talent is maybe a 3rd priority when considering what products a studio should be working on

When Noah Wyle laid out why The Pitt doesn't have music (a thing I didn't even notice!) as an attempt to force the audience to process a scene on their own, it got me thinking about how, yeah, the only games that get brought up as Important or Art are often the ones that chew your food for you.

It's always interesting to look back at the early 2010s and see how much doom and gloom there was about the state of Japanese RPGs in the west. 15 years later and now we have so many great RPGs coming out of Japan, most titles get world-wide releases, and Xenoblade is a major Nintendo franchise.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up. I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
