The richest 0.1 percent of the global population are hiding nearly $3 trillion in offshore accounts to evade taxes — more than the wealth held by the entire bottom half of humanity. It would take about $93 billion per year to eradicate extreme hunger by 2030. Taxing the rich is a global necessity.

I read the “Save America Act,” so you don’t have to. Most of the media apparently *hasn’t* read it because, if they had, they would be sounding the alarm about the provision in Point 1, below, which almost none of them have even mentioned. I hope this summary helps raise awareness. 1/

Trump's big, ugly budget megabill gives ICE more agents than the FBI, more jails than the federal Bureau of Prisons, and a larger budget than most countries' militaries. It does this by stripping food away from children, the disabled, and the working poor. Not one more penny.

Instead of firing 300 journalists, the Washington Post should fire the executives who approved the endorsement of Bondi. In the meantime, if you want to support the pro-democracy outlet that understood the threat from the start, subscribe to Democracy Docket now. hubs.ly/Q03M8rql0

It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by. Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?

Someone needs to say it. Trump 2028 isn’t happening. We know the presidency ages you, and we’re witnessing his rapid decline. His approval is buried in the 30s, and his stamina is gone. He won’t be able to vigorously campaign. He can pretend 2028 is inevitable, but everyone can see the truth.

It's hard to express what it meant to watch Maurice, Natalia, Celeste, and Rhea tell their stories—in their own voices—this morning. The segment revealed a brutal reality: homelessness at this scale isn't about personal failure. It's the result of policy choices and systems built to exploit people.

cbsnews.comWhen the employed are pushed into homelessnessIn America we are taught hard work is the key to success. But despite having full-time jobs, many families are locked out of the rental housing market, due to low wages, soaring rents and poor credit,...

Some news: tomorrow at 9am, Ted Koppel + CBS Sunday Morning will air a two-part story on the devastating surge of full-time workers being pushed into homelessness. I'll be interviewed along with two families from There Is No Place for Us. It would mean a lot if you'd watch and help spread the word.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance. The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income. They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive. Wanna fix fraud and abuse? Fix that.

We can’t let this happen. And any Republican who refuses to renew health care subsidies for hardworking American families, saying we can’t afford it, needs to explain how they found $1 trillion in tax cuts to give away to the wealthiest people in America.

I’ll be at the Palm Springs, CA rally! Where will you be?

“The 3.5% rule is a concept in political science that states that when 3.5% of the population of a country protest nonviolently against a government, that government is likely to fall from power.” If you can get to a No Kings rally this Saturday, please do.

The corruption is blatant and there is no accountability. To the winners go the spoils. These people feel entitled to whatever they want.

Bessent’s friends have huge investments in Argentina. Elon Musk does too. Bessent is sending $40 billion of our money to Argentina with more to come. There is zero oversight. Congress not involved. One unelected man is sending a fortune to Argentina and nobody will stop him,

JD Vance can dismiss the Young Republicans as a college group chat. But let's be clear: the group chat includes a State Senator, a Trump Admin official, and multiple Republican staffers — and some of the worst comments came from folks associated with Mike Johnson, Elise Stefanik, and Mike Lawler.

Who's the next Democrat that's gonna come out swinging? Who's gonna go on the attack? Who's gonna figure out a way to get it done regardless of the obstacles in place? If you can't see that there's an insatiable appetite for fighters and brawlers on the left, open your eyes.

I have no doubt.

Republicans dont want voting freedoms and protections. Infact, they'd be happy with 1% voter turnout. They feel the less people that vote, the better.

NEW: The Senate just reintroduced the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would restore and expand federal protections for our right to vote. As states continue to pass legislation that makes voting harder, it's time for our leaders to protect this essential right.
