if it's ever up for sale again, you should buy SmileBASIC 4 regardless of anything else around it, on account of the fact that SmileBASIC 4 is really cool

been playing kirby air riders in my free time recently and i can hardly ever get more than like 4 players for city trial in a paddock. out of desperation for something to do i joined one of those free run matches that every other player seems obsessed with and it was filled with 16 players. okay

i get that kids are going to play this game but has the online just been taken over by like, 4 year olds or something?????

just remembered that i recorded this video a very long time ago specifically to convince twitter users to play Graffiti Kingdom for the PS2. and that i never uploaded that video here. i need to show all of you what you've been missing

the "adapt or die" people failed to consider the secret third option of forming a neoluddite community where I'm selling my latest video game on usb sticks in a little lemonade stand

⚠️ EPIC GODOT ANIMATION TIP ⚠️ if you're importing a .blend with 3d animations in it, make sure that the animation starts on frame 0 instead of blender's default frame 1. unless you like it when the first frame of your animation lasts for 2 frames and stutters when it loops!

can someone smarter than me tell me if the "polygon counts aren't really a performance bottleneck anymore" thing is true. how banban-esque am i allowed to get with my models

seeing an uptick of artists defend the usage of ai for programming while still hating it for everything that they work in. if you don't see programming as an art then don't talk to me. i don't like you

⚠️ WARNING - HEALTH AND SAFETY Hi Touch the Touch Screen to continue.

a bit ago i made a toyhouse account but someone changed their username to SodaBytes like 2 days before i joined 😊💢 it's fine 😊💢 they didn't know 😊💢💢💢 they just happened to think up the same two words as me 😊💢💢💢💢💢

anyway i'm not doing anything with the acc yet but if you want to follow me... or whatever you do on toyhouse... i'm SODABYTESofSeasons on there..........

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄? In the 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 version of the game, his name was 𝗣𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗺𝗮𝗻, but when bringing the game overseas, the developers were concerned about vandals modifying the P on the cabinet 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗙. That's why he ended up with the name us westerners know him by— 𝗗𝗼𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻!

they are putting """shipping discourse""" on my feed. please stop. i don't care about any of this PLEASE stop.

does paramount plus have anything good that isn't, like... nickelodeon..... i don't mind the ol' nicktoon every now and then, i'm just in my 20s and feel like putting my brain wrinkles to better use right now

💭 metroid ravenous is doing something pretty similar to a story i've been coming up with for a while but i'm just gonna stick with it even if it ends up making people go "that's just the thing from metroid ravenous"

i don't really care much for video game remakes but i will concede on one thing. being able to play the ocarina by playing an ocarina is just cute

a bit ago my friends and i were talking about how there should be a flowery mod for crazy taxi and we weren't sure if flowery being the driver or the passengers would be funnier until we realized that everyone could be flowery

updated PyramisLib on github to use changed, not-exponential scoring rules! tested it in my private sdl demo thing and i'm happy to say that getting a maxout is back to being sufficiently Hard : )

worth mentioning again that Legally Speaking, i don't think you're allowed to do anything with the code until i add a proper license, but i personally have nothing against you using it privately as long as you're not distributing it or anything... i'm okay with footage of something like that, too

i doubt anyone cares enough about pyramis to make anything like this, but i like the idea of someone making a homebrew port of pyramis to some old console or something, and being able to give them my Blessing to release it for free. i think that'd be so cool

right now in PyramisLib the score from a triangle increases exponentially based on the size of the pyramid it's in and the quanitity of pyramids, but i might Nerf that since uh. exponential base score * total amount of pyramids * combo if you know how to do that = WAY too easy to hit the max score

oh gawd no wonder it's so much easier to reach a maxout in the pyramis rewrite. it's because the gdscript version was bugged to begin with and calculating it wrong

like yesterday i was playing the closest i could to a "cheesy" game and i suddenly jumped way beyond the max score basically as soon as it was getting exciting... last thing i want pyramis to be is Boring and Easy!!!!!

it would maybe be cool, if pyramis were a balatro . but sadly it is not a balatro so number can't go THAT big. sorry

POINPY IS SO AWESOME EVERYONE GO PLAY IT RIGHT NOW... they finally made a really fun mobile game that's ACTUALLY FREE and not "mobile game free" it's like FREE free. there's an option on the title screen to leave a tip if you want to and that's it

i'm bad at putting it into words so here's MOTHER Encore perfectly nailing the exact thing i want to do

help how do you make A Party Of Non-Grid-Based RPG Overworld Characters That Follow A Trail And They're All Evenly Spaced Even If You're Holding The Run Button Or Colliding Against Walls in godot

help how do you make A Party Of Non-Grid-Based RPG Overworld Characters That Follow A Trail And They're All Evenly Spaced Even If You're Holding The Run Button Or Colliding Against Walls in godot

MOTHER Encore was made in godot, and its characters work exactly like i'm imagining (i went out of my way to play until you get pippi just to see this) i can't find the source code but the game's site says it WILL be open source... they won't get mad if i reverse engineer this one thing, right...?

i finally played MOTHER / EarthBound Beginnings after years of being told that it has "aged poorly" and like... sure, it's not PERFECT and i agree with some common sentiments... ...but i keep seeing people saying that a guide is Mandatory. uh??? did you guys not read the text??? in the game?????

i'm not, like, a super huge RPG guy or anything. for all i know, maybe the "you need a guide" thing actually does apply to some old dragon quest game... but if i'm not a huge RPG guy and still got through it without any* outside help, i'm confused why other people had so much trouble???

*at most, i messaged my friend who loves this game, and asked her "hey just answer with yes or no and nothing else**, is the game literally just asking me to find a cactus" **she said "yes" and offered to give me another very small hint "it's in the desert"

i don't even wanna do anything crazy i just want to make a sprite based 2d game. it just WOULD BE NICE to have a depth buffer or something
