EA owned, in the mid-90s and the late 00s-early 2010s, the flagship blockbuster rpg developers of their time. origin and bioware were at their peak both squaresoft level cultural behemoths and EA pissed both away to nothing. what a waste.

you can't judge when bioware was really killed because the mismanagement at the higher level under EA has been so constant and pervasive since the acquisition at every stage that every game shipped at all was a herculean miracle

Things were grim well before the Saudi buyout, but this feels uniquely bleak - a sobering effect in the worst possible way. BioWare deserved so much better. Thank you for the memories, and for the community that helped shape who I am today.
