Not only an incredible talent, but a rare talent who also thought it was funny to just voice random memes every once in a while

Unbelievable loss. An amazing talent, and just a really, really good person. www.instagram.com/p/De8RFy4pyov/

Apparently BizHawk has now added PSP support (albeit experimental). I've wanted to see a TAS of Powered Up for so long to the point where I've considered coming out of retirement if PSP TASing ever became possible just to do it. I can't believe it's real. It's finally time to get to work.

Well ain't this just mighty dandy!

I originally made this edit about Twitter, but honestly I think it might actually apply to Bluesky too (but for slightly different reasons)

I'm not sure how to feel about how the speedrun community is utilizing AI. Apparently people are using AI to find new tricks/skips, to the point where they're using it to generate inputs to do so. While the stuff found is nice, is this kind of brute forcing really what speedrunning will become?

Part of what makes speedrunning so enthralling to me is how I've been able to better myself. I've learned many valuable skills in life from problem-solving to experimentation by figuring out the fastest way through a video game. Using AI removes the opportunity to learn these skills for yourself.

North Mist Studios is a collection of former BioWare video game developers, including senior narrative team members behind the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series. Now, we're working on a brand new title: The Concierge, a story of Canadian Assassins in a Spy-Thriller Office Drama.

HAPPY MAPLESTORY CLASSIC RELEASE DAY! 🎉 As a player from around '03, I've been looking forward to this for a while. Where are my fellow maplers at?

Always RT wheel-like locomotion in animals (literal opposite of a barrel roll, weird that they phrased it that way)

Cell Press@cellpress.bsky.social

Ever see a snake do a barrel roll? Scientists disentangle the locomotor kinematics of this behavior in rolling snakes. Learn more in Current Biology: spkl.io/633287ntaA Yosuke Kojima & colleagues @currentbiology.bsky.social

Thank y'all for tuning in last night! I appreciate all if you sticking around while I deal with tech issues. It's been a while since I've done anything with my setup, so I think it's about time for the stream to get a new coat of paint while I fine tune everything again.

Sonikkustar@sonikkustar.bsky.social

Well it's certainly been a moment since I've done the streaming thing. Might as well fix that! Gonna do some Advance 1 runs for the night as well as give some general updates on what's been going on. www.twitch.tv/sonikkustar

We sent the love to @ohheyitjaye.bsky.social who was playing Pac Man Bros, a game I saw during the SAGE Expo a few months back. I gotta play some of those games at some point. Some of the stuff that came out almost look official and I'm always itching to try more stuff!

🐟 Three new species of deep-sea conger eel - Gnathophis kbalanensis (displayed), G. melanurum and G. nanhaiensis - have been discovered in the waters off Taiwan, bringing the total number of Gnathophis eels now known from Taiwanese waters to five!

#AGDQ2027 submissions are a go. These aren't the best submission and I hate that I have to rush these out given how little time I have nowadays, however it's also super encouraging seeing the list of games I can submit continue to increase each time. I guess we'll see how it goes.

This looks like a genuinely awesome feature, especially as someone who has a hard time picking a target. But also: MAN I miss hosting.

Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg

Twitch will soon test an "Auto Raid" feature. It appears to let you create a list of potential raid targets, and if you don't manually raid at the end of your stream, it will automatically select one to raid. This feature is similar to the now-deprecated "Auto Host".
