Amazing how quickly we went from "oh no LLMs are going to flood the Internet with insecure code" to "oh no LLMs have discovered the internet was already flooded with insecure code"

It's #Croatia’s biggest waste scandal in years: around 35,000 tonnes of hazardous waste (plastics, medical and electronic waste, much of it imported from Italy and Slovenia) have been illegally dumped & buried at a former agro-industrial site in Gospić, Lika. @fm4.orf.at fm4.orf.at/beitrag/3243...

#EU, you need to up your game. While the EU fined meta like 2.5 Billions and got scared of 'tariffs', New Mexico fined them for 25 billion. @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu time to take the gloves off.

Maintaining PHP in the past was already a little bit like installing a high security lock in your Front door, knowing that the cellar door lock was a number padlock with the default 0000 code still on.

details leaked. this vulnerability is a full unauthenticated unconditional remote code execution exploit against any service running on a PHP version from 5.4 until latest yeah if anything deserves CVSS 11, this is it. this is CATACLYSMICALLY bad.

🚨 Six WebPKI Intermediate CAs are compromised. This is bigger than Heartbleed, but a client-side issue. Anything that verifies certificates against public roots, like most TLS clients, is/was affected. Details, live test, patched versions and workarounds at emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com Act now.

I don't really care who's affected. IMHO, the actual topic here is: we can't allow to normalize brushing off accountability to AI mishaps. The 'AI ate my homework' is already ubiquitous, and we can't let major companies off the hook with blaming their own product and escape accountability.

Yes, it sucks that the No Kings insta was suspended (though I still think it was likely an automated tripwire, rather than deliberate). But falling back into "well we have to politically punish media execs to get better results" doesn't fix anything.

It is happening with plagiarism, theft, or groc's racist slurs. So the least one can demand in such cases, is to prove if it was a technical glitch, or not. If not, it is clearly election interference. And while this wouldn't be illegal, we'd know if it was intentional. bsky.app/profile/sort...

So very soon everyone can just steal and plagiarize, and when caught blame some AI. Cool cool.

True that. Or create your own tool-adaptor

dax@thdxr.com

the amount of internal tooling is exploding, it must be at all companies a weird side effect is when you switch companies then it's all new tools you have to learn, way less consistency than before but also you can just use an agent to learn about them so maybe it all nets out

You will own nothing.

Jason Kint@kint.bsky.social

you can't be serious. This reads Meta/Facebook/Insta is looking to grant itself the rights to scrape websites across the open web - and train Meta's AI - if a company after Oct 30, 2026 uses Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or other Meta services. So every biz. Read that again. Outrageous. 1/5

That's not even the question. If it's even close, the USA should get banned from any international organization, and sanctioned, just like any other nation that has gone rogue.

The ONLY way Trump doesn't lose the midterms is by cheating. Yet that is all he has. We must vote in huge numbers. If Trump tries to steal the election then we must flood the streets, engage in national strikes and more!!

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

This looks amazing. And, again, reconfirms the thing I keep telling people: the Atmosphere isn't about rebuilding Twitter. It's about rebuilding a better web overall.

🙋‍♂️ ever wanted to build something without needing to configure a db, auth, file storage or a cms? it turns out you already have all four if you have a bluesky account 👉 airspace is a typed client for it
