Happy Battle of Hastings day! 960 years since Harold got it in the eye. Or did he...? Something I've been working on: this episode of English Heritage's 1066 video podcast is an as-it-happened battle commentary by Prof Tom Licence & Roy Porter with host @amyfmatthews.bsky.social tinyurl.com/1066Ep3
Sick of hearing about 1066 and the Bayeux Tapestry? No you’re not, shut up. Because me & others have been working crazy hard on a new English Heritage video podcast series about that year, that battle, that tapestry and an incredible bromance gone wrong. Out now. open.spotify.com/episode/5rjM...
I've been on this and it was great fun! One of the few podcasts around about comics. Have a listen.
Brand new episode of Comic Cuts The Panel Show, and if you’ve never heard the show before this is a good place to start - comedians Alasdair Beckett King and Wendy Wason bring in a couple of nicely chosen comic panels. Listen wherever you get your pods cast. www.buzzsprout.com/1788415/epis...
Vaun's been plagued by one health thing after another and yet he's still able to joke about it and make the rest of the Listen Through the Brown Window team laugh on a daily basis. Please help him out, so he can spend his time driving the bloody thing over my feet, or something.
Hello everyone, I started a fundraiser on GoFundMe and would appreciate your support. Every single share and donation makes a difference and helps me get closer to my goal. And of course if I reach my goal beware in and around teesside. Lolz. gofund.me/6df1df79b

Great work from Georgy and a genuinely interesting bit of history. Why should Operation Mincemeat get all the glory?!

Listen out for @woodenovercoats.bsky.social Rudyard Funn himself, @felixtrench.com as he skims stones, has wine thrown at him and takes on the mantel of Greendale’s other postman, with the #EerieEssex podcast’s @bbmiller.bsky.social

If you weren't aware, Harry's Home starring Phil Davis is available to listen to for free on YouTube. It's an authentic, gently funny and emotional play touching upon the day-to-day realism of living with a Alzheimer's sufferer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAf1...
The team having to invent a fictional patient and tell male investors a lovely story because they couldn’t comprehend or empathise with the concept of gynaecological pain is absolutely crackers.
Every time I read a story about gynecology it's always something like "doctors discovered women could experience pain in 1989 but decided not to act on this knowledge for 20 years"

So sad to hear this. Wally was one of the Mercury 13 - women who took the same tests as the Gemini 7 astronauts but never went to space. I’m glad she finally made it in 2021. She was fizzing ball of energy even in her late 70s. I’m so grateful I met her. edition.cnn.com/2026/07/09/s...
Had a lovely chat with Martin about Harry’s Home and its journey, which began in 2013…
New episode available where I spoke with @soundliness.com & Hannah Puddefoot about Harry's Home — an audio drama about Alzheimer's, family, and memory, starring Phil Davis & Nicola Bryant. From stage play to studio, free to listen. #AudioDrama #PodsLikeUs #MentalHealth #Alzheimers pod.fo/e/444ede
Very chuffed to see our scrappy little weird podcast #ListenThrougTheBrownWindow has made the longlist in the comedy category! (Although @podcastingtoday.co.uk managed to leave us off in their press release... *slaps wrists*)

Rather incongruously read this on holiday by a hotel swimming pool last week. Loved it, although I am struggling to look at drill bits at the moment. @davidmbarnett.bsky.social
