Everyone should do this. Ask your favorite devs to do this. See how they respond.

Why do we keep on doing this? Praising a 'small core team' for a game with 1100+ people in the credits is incredibly misleading. This PR narrative hurts, hides the massive shadow workforce of outsourced developers and testers, and sets impossible standards for actual indie teams.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer was made by a core team of 75 people. "What we wanted to do was keep that core small, smaller than perhaps you might have done in the past, and scale capacity and capability with what we call distributed development." https://bit.ly/4hT02qg

Penguin Colony is out today, and I'm proud to have played a small part in its release. It's 100% the kind of game I want to see in the world. It's sort of like Tony Hawk's Pro Penguin and is a chill time with exactly nothing bad or political going on. store.steampowered.com/app/3695930/...

store.steampowered.comSave 10% on Penguin Colony on SteamCosmic horror, through the eyes of a penguin. Rival human factions have come to your home in the Antarctic, seeking an ancient and inconceivable being. Observe their descent into insanity in this fait...

🚨 Titanium Court has escaped from our computers! 🚨 📣 It's marching towards Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android 🎮 📱 Brace yourselves; it arrives on October 29!

Today Valve put a Chess Man into Deadlock and his chessboard weapon has a different chess match on it for each additional bullet you get by building ammo items. Insane.

I underestimated how much I would like the writing in Galactic Racer. Turns out "what if Lance Stroll was a fish and hated you personally?" Is a compelling hook

There's nothing like becoming violently ill to connect you to your place in the historical lineage. I understand how my medieval ancestors could get the flu and think "Ahh yeah, the devil is working his magicks to send me to hell"

Our launch trailer is entirely in Black and White. Because marketing isn't real, we wanted it to look like a short of the period film.

It is my (possibly naive) hope that the Gamers see their favorite hobby being ransacked by corporate ghouls and start supporting unions, social safety nets, and the breakup of megacorps.

Thousand Hells is a very cool sort of combinatorial RPG generator. My first heist was to try and break a guy's girlfriend out of Howl's Moving Maximum Security Soul Prison wandering through a Hieronymus Bosch wasteland hell. Great stuff

That anyone would *willingly* give up one of the experts in hardware in 2026 is a masterclass in buffoonery. Any website worth anything would do well to pick Bo up and let him make sense of this insane market for their viewers and readers.

My team had a huge content day today on IGN, covering the launch of Valve's Steam Frame. So this seems like a good time as any to say that I was affected by today's layoffs.

He Who Watches has joined the club of puzzle games that make my brain feel like a dog in a hot car. My partner commented that I was making sounds like a microwave as I sat there going "hmmmmmmmmmm"

Every Resident Evil turns into a bad action game at the end but this one is so much longer and less integrated into the rest of the game than the others. Really baffling decisions here

I need to remind everyone, especially after their presentation today. Level-5 has been very openly using Generative AI in their game development and are proud of it. This includes their newly announced titles such as New World of Steam, Yo-Kai Watch 2 and Curious Village Remake.

I got credits on Schrödinger's Call last night. I need to sit with how I feel about it, but I'm generally positive. It's fully dedicated to the concept of empathy in ways that feel good in game but is semi-unwilling to explore times when empathy is harmful. I recommend it.
