New site, who dis? Hi, I'm Squid 🦑, and I'm a part time furry artist 🎨 and full time lawyer ⚖️ from the UK! I love fantasy themes and the golden age of American illustration. Inquire for commissions 😊

It's heartbreaking hearing from so many artists, developers, musicians and actors who finally got to live out their dream working on a Mass Effect game after falling in love with the series... Just to have it cancelled from under their feet

Living in a house-share with fellow leftists can be pretty exhausting sometimes, I asked my housemate to please rinse the shared crockery after he washes it (to get rid of the soapy dirty water) and he accused me of being classist Bro earns more than me, I can't 💀

*cut-away gag to communist Russia "I'm sorry comrade, I have to report you to the NKVD, I didn't detect a slight hint of dish-soap in my evening borscht"

The Writers Guild on Musk blocking releasee of the documentary "Musk": "A small handful of billionaires now own virtually every major media company, news outlet, and social media platform and are demonstrating how this unchecked concentration over our news and media threatens democratic discourse."

These creepy f**ckers from Dishonored definitely qualify I think

Dumb Robot Stuff @dumbrobotstuff.bsky.social

and the white armour description reminds me of one of my favourite types of mechanical design, an artisanal humanoid in white and gold I kind of tried to work it into a SoB I made, so it's nice to see this having existing lore similarities(even though it is a bulkier thallax)

Art transcends wealth and power That's why billionaires hate it - hoarding and controlling is all they understand, and so they can never truly comprehend the beauty and soul of the greatest works of art They destroy it, for they buy what they do not control, and destroy what they cannot buy

Remembering the time I agreed to play poker with my partner and her very Christian mother. I bluffed like my life depended on it and won, in response to which my partner's mother had a proper go at me for sinning (i.e. lying)

She also once told me, with a slightly scary tone, that her greatest wish was for her daughter and I to find God together I grew up in a very liberal Anglican community, so she has been my first real exposure to a fairly 'intense' Christian, and oh boy it's exhausting

I need to remember to not get my lefty political fix online - ive spent the last 30 minutes being bounced from the centrists and tankies of Reddit to the fantasists of Bluesky and its making me miserable lol Of course there are plenty of sensible people on those sites, and I follow plenty here

It's just that the internet has a way of amplifying the most unhinged opinions, I just can't forget that those opinions are not necessarily representative

The context being I was doing some research into social democrats (a position I think I align with) and came across a post saying they are worse than fascists and need to be dealt with accordingly and ugh...... really? Irl plenty of my friends are socialists and we get along fine lol

Really bummed by the BioWare news - excuse the old art (I think I was 19 when I did these) but like many, i was inspired by the dragon age art direction. Also, Garrus Vakarian was genuinely my bi awakening

I used to joke that if I got an euro every time someone asked me if I had worked on Dragon Age, I'd have enough money to buy Bioware. Ha, I wish! Playing DA: Inquisition was a turning point in my life, it helped me find myself as an artist and I will never forget that. Pretty sure it still shows!

My local council trimmed all the bushes nearby and destroyed a few hop plants in the process I've salvaged some and hung then in my room, and now everything smells of beer (i.e. nice)

eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

"The Mummy (1999) was such a fun movie, I know the reviews for The Mummy Returns aren't great but it can't be *that* bad, surely" - the words of an incredibly foolish man, soon to be humbled

My mum cut off my grandfather, a man who punched her multiple times, only after he turned his physical aggression on *me*. Even then, she is still worried I'll blame it all on her. Cutting off a family member is nearly always a last resort, and is rarely easy.

This is a quietly metastasizing moral panic

I'm not caught up on the Celebrity Traitors yet (no spoilers please) but if and when James Blunt is eliminated, they need to play So Long Jimmy

My workplace has a chaplain that visits once a week to offer pastoral support, but I'm a Warhammer nerd so I can't help imagining one of these guys smashing through the desks every Wednesday to check if we're doing ok.

Was searching for a bookend and came across an ad featuring this incredibly f*cked bit of garbage. Ah, yes, one of my favourite novels 'Alice's Adventure in Wi3llloons Wondfkland' by Lan't Carumii, an all-time classic

i think bsky has some annoying people running it and lacks some features but as of right now it is just absolutely insanely better than the alternatives. twitter is a toilet that fires waste into your home instead of taking it away and facebook (and all it’s other programs) is a privacy nightmare
