We are sanctioning the ICC because we are a country that commits war crimes. We are buying diesel from Russia to fund Putin’s war machine because we are a country that likes *other* countries that commit war crimes.

Vance, perhaps unintentionally, admitting that Republicans scream "SOCIALISM" as a catchall for whatever lies they're foisting upon their credulous audience.

Mrs. Betty Bowers@mrsbettybowers.bsky.social

I think in reality what socialism actually means in the American context is that trillionaire Elon Musk got $38 billion from the U.S. government and you got rejected trying to buy a $1 soda on SNAP benefits.

I’m 72 and I’m here to tell you that the Progressive Democrats are what the Democrats were before the corporate money started flowing into their campaigns! 🤦🏻‍♂️

If Jack Smith can calmly confront abusive constitutional authority, threat of imprisonment, personal attacks, and hold hope the rule of law will ultimately prevail you can steel your gaze, push past any obstacle thrown at you, and vote

This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇

Trump: "If we lose $50 billion a year with a country, and we say 'we're not going to trade with you anymore,' we don't lose $50 billion a year. It's very simple. Right?"

Mike Johnson sent the House home until after the mid terms. They are getting their asses handed to them SO HARD by the court of public opinion they are just giving up.

You can tell pundits think Democrats will win because they're already starting the usual panic about government spending and debt levels. Gotta lay the framework for demanding austerity later.

Thou shalt not let AI companies regulate themselves. That’s insane. You wouldn’t let criminals make laws, would you? You know what, never mind.

You know, several Constitutional questions have emerged as "litmus tests" for a Supreme Court seat. It's still perjury, though.

Julie the Crazy Cat Lady@juliecumberland.bsky.social

There needs to be a rule when Supreme Court candidates lie like this action can be taken about their appointment after the fact. Unless they can give clear, concise reasons why they have changed their viewpoints. And “my religion says” is not a clear concise viewpoint.

Trump will probably stroke out or something before he leaves office, so punishment for him is up to his Maker. what I'm chiefly interested in is punishment for the people who have enabled him

A very important question.

Dean Obeidallah@deanobeidallah.bsky.social

Trump was never held accountable for trying to overturn the 2020 election. Thats is why he 100 percent will try to overturn the 2026 election when Democrats win Congress. The only question is Are Democratic leaders ready?!

Trump will keep getting worse as his desperation of losing grows. It will take a massive voter turnout to ensure we overcome all the traitorous ways he is plotting to deny the will of the people.

Very Well Said…. “Donald Trump is a disgrace not only to America. He is a disgrace to all humanity. Shame on anyone and everyone who supports this monster. You too are a disgrace.” -keithboykin

It wasn't too long ago that I would have considered this post to be over the top. That time is past.

4fuxake@blueheartedly1.bsky.social

The entire GOP are treasonous traitors who have betrayed America.

Seriously, Republicans: it's obvious that the President and your Congressional representatives think you are morons. If they're right, well, just carry on. If they're not -- you should be deeply offended. Take it out on them in the mid-terms.

Everyone questioning whether Darline Graham is smart enough to be in the Senate is making me smile. You mean in comparison to the intellectual powerhouses already there? Like Tommy Tuberville? Marsha Blackburn? Ron Johnson? John Fetterman?

It makes me wish I believed in hell.

Do I think Trump is extorting Christianity for his own gains? Yes Do I think evangelical leaders are using Trump to extort their followers for equally nefarious reasons? Yes Am I sitting here hoping they all rot in hell? Also yes

Donald Trump wants 'fighting communism' to be the GOP's midterms theme. The man is seizing the central bank, nationalizing industry, and printing money with his face on it. I worked for him. The guy IS the communist threat.

Trump is using the power of the government regulatory state to coerce companies into turning over huge ownership stakes in their businesses to the federal government while calling Democrats communists.
