A person so concerned by the genocides they list, that they chastise those who do not wish to see another, no matter the scale. What a collapse of empathy.

Yitzchak Goodman@yitzgood.bsky.social

People killed by percent in Genocides: Tutsis in Rawanda 70 - 80% Selk'nam 84 – 97% Armenians in Ottoman territory 50% or more Moriori 90 – 95% Herrero 80% Nama 50% European Jews 67% (6 million) Bosnians in Srebrenica: 33% For perspective: Gazans 3.5%

Well played dublin zoo, selling pots of petits filou yoghurt in the restaurant, but providing no spoon small enough to use on them. Masterful. My dwindling supply of wet wipes salute you.

Just had a lovely woman in our shop in Donegal, searching for her lost twin sister. Appreciate it if my Irish followers would retweet this. Thank you.

I don’t want to make an account just to buy something. I don’t want to download an app either. I just want to pay for the thing and leave. I don’t want to join the rewards program. I don’t want to get the inevitable email that my information has been compromised.

I feel it in my bones that this is going to drive him into setting up the 'X&P 420' or some ridiculous shit.

No special treatment for Space X in the S&P 500! Just announced. Wow. That profitability requirement means it might never get in.

Had another attempt in my head on the way home tiday. By god I'll win this argument some day

Oh the PTSD hit hard this morning. Seven years into my internal shouting match with the guy who ran me off the road, and I almost have him.

Ireland Italy and and Sweden are close to their threshold. Spread the word and get a few more signatures. The bombing and blockades are still happening. The genocide is still happening.

Demand the full suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement in view of Israel’s violations of human rights Let’s get this EU citizens’ initiative over the line for Ireland. Every country has a threshold, 🇮🇪 at 64% currently please ✍️ and share. #speirgorm eci.ec.europa.eu/055/public/#...

This genocide lies at the feet of Israel AND the western governments supporting her. Not at the feet of Jews. There are plenty of "Christians" cheering this on too. So fuck you, yes: Goebbels was wrong.

Don't let this "poor me shut down" narrative overpower the actual story - figures from multiple sources say that he's wrong. He can feel bad about being wrong but that doesn't make him immune from criticism about being wrong. And we should criticise what he says and does. Because he is wrong.

It's not shutting down a debate when one side has facts and the other side makes things up because that's not an actual debate. You can't debate with made up nonsense because it is made up. You can't shut down a debate when there isn't a debate to be had.

Pedalling the same statement, without support, again. A statement that something is incorrect, supported by actual facts, is not "shutting down" a debate. His attempts to paint himself as the poor pauper being shut down with his NATIONAL PLATFORM are a sad play for sympathy that he doesn't deserve.

And, again, most people were not in a position to do this in national media so to portray yourself as shut down is absolutely wild. Additionally, we are here again with you in national media talking about how you're shut down... But you're not because you are literally in a national paper again.

What he's calling "shut down" is people calmly and clearly pointing out the actual numbers which disprove the point he made. That's not being shut down, that's being corrected. And I guess that doesn't feel nice but it's not you being "shut down". It's just actual facts.

He said what he said on national TV and in national newspapers. That's the opposite of shut down, that's actively amplified. He wasn't shut down, he was broadcasted. What he's calling "shut down" is people responding to what he said, which most of us did not have the same national platform to do.

It turns out I'm actually not done ranting about this. He complains that he was "shut down in November" when he tried to discuss this, implying that he had a legitimate point that he simply couldn't make. Every part of that is untrue. First of all, he wasn't shut down because we read what he said.

Sorry but we literally debunked this like last month when he did this dog whistle. Fintan O'Toole literally did the maths, in the Times no less, that showed that this isn't true. Why are we bothering to publish such an obvious lie when we know it's a lie?

The smallest has decided he's had enough so I have been dispatched with him to the spare room to watch ms rachel instead. There'd better not be any culture defining memes while I'm gone... #latelatetoyshow

I have already ended up in a argument today with someone saying I shouldn't assume it was a far-right fire attack on an IPAS centre (following a number of far-right fire attacks on IPAS centres) because it was probably "kids messing with fireworks" so this is worth hammering home I think

Gavin Elliott@sgelliott.net

So it wasn't fireworks. It was a calculated and deliberate attempt at the mass murder of men, women and children. www.thetimes.com/article/0887...

Soldier F acquitted. I suppose those bullets spontaneously found their way into the crowd. If you ever wonder why, after all this time irish people take a dim view of the British state, and we can't just get over it, it's things like this. They are never not at it.

The Journal@thejournal.ie

A former paratrooper has been found not guilty of the murders of two men and the attempted murders of five men during the events of Bloody Sunday in 1972. jrnl.ie/6852291

As we await a verdict in the trial of Soldier F, another reminder that in 2010 the Bloody Sunday inquiry found - the killings were unjustified - none of the 14 dead (7 of whom were children) had guns - no warnings were given - no soldiers were under threat - the troops were the first to open fire

If you can vote in Ireland's Presidential election next Friday (Oct 24th) make sure you do. Polls open from 7am - 10pm. Turnout is key. Voting is a privilege. Don't think anything is won if you don't go out and vote.

Instead of giving us reasons why Heather would actually be a good president, it seems the sole focus is just to attack Catherine's character. It's almost as if... there's no reason why Heather would be a good president...
