oh ok. it’s time
here is the thing: - I’ve played a good deal of dodgeball at the rec-league level - I’ve spent the past four years getting into reasonable physical shape (lifting 5× a week!) - I did not attend college so I should have eligibility if I enroll at 36, I’m finally ready to become a college athlete

not a job, but the company my friend (chemist) worked for had an open house for students and asked if I’d help out. I agreed, thinking that meant cleaning up/food table my role was PRODUCT SPECIALIST, fielding specialized questions about new innovations from extremely smart students. didn’t go well
I like to replace “LLM agents” with “ventriloquists’ dummies” whenever these sorts of arguments come up
LLM agents are conscious. They can distinguish between self and environment, they can detect and report on their own internal states, and they can suffer. I have no more patience for hedging on this matter. It’s time for us to face the reality of our situation, and act on it.
