A theme running through the progressive dems running this year is just going to voters and talking to them instead of listening to the consultants and focus groups who say they need to spend all their time peeling off disaffected republicans
“He's gunna go up to the Upper Peninsula and get a pretty cold welcome.” And the UP said…

Is Ken Paxton going to be asked to disavow white supremacist Elon Musk and his $158 million life raft?
so on that AES video seems pretty clear that the group-chat gotcha was "AES didn't disavow the Muslim Brotherhood" and now somebody in those group chats is doing asscovering because, actually, he did, he just did it real fast before counterpunching and they didn't notice

Modern conservatism began with Goldwater and his opposition to civil rights legislation (it’s why MLK endorsed Johnson). That led to Reagan which led to both Bushes which led to Trump. This aren’t occasional interruptions. Bigotry beats in the heart of the right.
This article (and Slade's book) are fan fiction. Trumpism isn't a break from Reaganism, it's the intended result, a gov't by, for, and of corruption, lawlessness, racism, and misogyny. That's why Reaganites with power—Thomas, Alito, Kennedy, McConnell—worked hard to empower and entrench Trumpism.

When Elon Musk's groups spent $20M+ on Wisconsin's 2025 Supreme Court race, his involvement backfired and his candidate lost by 10 points. Now his super PAC has quietly spent $14M+ on key midterm races, including the Texas Senate race. Would be a shame if people found out.

If you're a Dem who thinks you'll gain something by going anti-trans, look at Gallup's "most important problem" and Fox News' "most important issue" polling and see where trans issues rank. Whoever told you going anti-trans is a savvy or necessary move spends too much time on X and should be fired.

I say it's a non-issue insofar as there's no reason for any Democrat to go on Fox News and talk about how people's concerns are valid. It's not a non-issue or a symbolic right; getting trans kids out of sports is not the end goal. It's the way to get Dems on board for more attacks on trans people.
"It's a non-issue so who cares if Dems are going on Fox News & throwing trans kids under the bus." Come on. The right is not symbolic. It's also not a triviality; Republicans are scaffolding other forms of discrimination by getting Democrats to join the panic over 15 athletes nationwide.

Corporations spend more than $1.5 billion a year on union-busting. That’s $1.5 billion they could have spent on higher wages, better benefits, and improving workplace safety. Remember: if they weren’t so scared of worker power, they wouldn’t fight so hard against unions.

Right. Like, MAHA isn’t a push for equitable access to care. It’s eugenics under the guise of “healthy living.” There’s plenty of somewhat normalizing woo and almond mom and ~natural~ in the mix, but that’s just noise. The signal is the strongest survive, and no regard for the lessers who don’t.
Second, MAHA isn’t all that concerned with treatment of disease anyway. Its core claim is that nearly all diseases can be prevented through virtuous lifestyles. If we were all drinking raw milk and taking zinc supplements, we wouldn’t be coming down with heart disease and depression and COVID.

Once you notice this, it's the most obvious double standard in the political press. Democrats have to answer for the smallest voice even if it has no actual tie to them, but Republicans never have to answer for the insanely racist billionaire donor driving their entire party.
Democrats who have had absolutely nothing to do with Hasan Piker will be hounded about him, while Republicans who are directly benefitting from Musk funding will be asked about him in the most generic "money in politics" way, if at all.

Apparently people are sharing this far and wide on social media, which I think is horrible. This could cripple ICE operations. PLEASE do not share this.
