As Chair of the Kennedy Center board, Trump bears the fiduciary duty to put the organization's interests above others. By withholding his support of the organization, this exposes him to legal and financial repercussions once new powers who are willing to act step into place.

How not surprising that a president who acts like a petty mob boss is holding one of our nation’s treasured institutions hostage until we meet his conditions—that is, putting his stupid name on the building. I say we just put it in mothballs until he is gone.

AI regulation and data centre restrictions would cut growth of the only industry propping up his stock market. Sounds like the High IQ president is trying to protect the thin veneer of a thriving economy, instead of the wellbeing of society.

Trump has rallied a nation together in ways I never thought possible. Our reaction to his crass childish jabs:

In the face of gangster threat Canadians are stepping up to show the best of who we are. A Syrian-Canadian family with the gift for making chocolate making is rallying the nation and defying Donald Trump. Please watch this. It will make your day. youtu.be/vkqKxvEMgBw?...

If I were a young person, living in the DC area, looking for work, I would enroll in a trade program focused on ungilding statues and government buildings. I feel they will have endless work coming out of that two year program.

Ha - I worked there for a short stint, many years ago. The first time I was sent to pick something up from one of the other bar areas, I went through the adult section. What a shock. The character of that venue being so eclectic left a strong impression on me and I’m sure many many others.

The Kent Hotel was a biker dive in Waterloo where strippers danced to a jukebox. I played there as a punk kid. It was the first time anyone threw a bottle at my head. Now it is the fashionable Jazz Room. Respectable. It was nice to be back there to play Strummerfest but I sure miss the old days.

Last summer, we had mourning doves build a nest in our hanging flower basket. They used a couple of twigs and a half eaten piece of pizza. Feels like there is some disparity in the bird world’s opinion of proper nesting.

The amazing rufous hornero bird building its iconic, oven-shaped clay nest on a tree branch. It’s waterproof and cozy

It was designed with the idea that someone like Trump could come along, but not that his cult of enablers would contort themselves to prop up his delusions. It’s sad to witness on many levels. And yes, you need to rebuild and take the levers of power away.

The system is breaking down because it was never designed for this moment. We need structural reforms that put power back in the hands of the people, not just better candidates. Real solutions require updating the rules of the game. the1776.0rg .

Could have claimed $8,675,309 and signed it Jenny.

NEW: I've filed a claim with Todd Blanche for compensation from the $1.776B slush fund for the unlawful investigation by the government into my podcast in August 2019. I'm seeking $8.647 million in compensation for weaponized lawfare - the equivalent of punitive damages, lost pay and retirement.

This makes me a tiny bit hopeful for your country. And for our world. We need more of this please.

Shenna Bellows is running for Governor of Maine. Listen to this great answer during her primary debate tonight when she was asked to talk about her opponents and contrast her governing vision. This is so refreshing. Perfect answer. Follow her: @shennabellows.bsky.social

In the federal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the coastal authorities, who investigate seashell-related crimes; and the Department of Justice, who prosecute the offenders.

Don’t all leaders close their eyes (at length) in deep contemplation during high level briefings that likely have the risk of harm to their citizens? Why won’t people give him a break? Americans can rest easy. Jesus.

25 years to rebuild “electric capacity”, but 6 months to build a nuclear bomb from scratch? Feels like they aren’t applying their trades evenly.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "We could take apart their electric capacity within one hour and it would take them 25 years to rebuild it"

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Based upon a very productive meeting I had with Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region. This solution, if consummated, will be a great one... Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs"
