A little workout with Personal Trainer tonight, along with The Earwurms who sounded exactly like every John Peel session band from 1985 and were excellent for it.

Thought I'd hit big time when I scored a guest list on Kiran's support for Jonathan Wilson in Manchester. Yippee! 2 greats in one night. Missed the support set - went up to the merch... Who the f r u mate? Turns out there's a Kieran Leonard... If you not seen Or Sobre Blau, remediate immediately.

Great in depth interview with Kiran Leonard in @theguardian.com, taking in his entire career from when we released his debut, Bowler Hat Soup back in 2013. He’s an endlessly fascinating artist and it’s been wonderful to see him evolve! www.theguardian.com/music/2026/o...

Grand time last night with Paranoid Void, from Japan, at the Night & Day Café, Maaanchester. Support from some nice Cork lads, God Alone, whose enthusiasm was unabaited, n'all.

Lovely evening last night with dbh + Or Sobre Blau (Kiran Leonard + Andreu Serra) in the sweat pit basement of Impiety Hour. dbh was obvs excellent, OSB highlights included a chat on the phone, a Princess Di + Charlie cup of wonder and around 45 minutes of bliss.

Watched Journey to the Far Side of the Sun last night - first time since 1976. Gerry-Sylvia Anderson film, not a single likeable character, yes everything blows up, yes majority of the cast are raging alcoholics, but the whole premise and the cool switch 1/2 way through are fab. Banger 👍

Super special show last night at Low Four, Westside Cowboy debuted their album in full for 70ish people and loads of cameras. Plus it was HOT. Album out in August and it will be a belter.

Hitchhiking late 80s, had a lift from Mr Hinsliff on the M6 north, for his weekly acting in Coronation Street. Not a clue who he was - everyone else in the service station did though. He was so lovely, dropped me at my door. Afterwards realised I knew him from this...

Brass (18th June 1984). Prudence Makepeace has left Bradley a broken man.

A butterfly bobbing about. A wren gathering moss for a new nest. A couple of post coital ducks, sunbathing. It's spring, we've made it guys!!!
