If drivers aren’t dangerous and cars aren’t deadly why have crossing guards (who we *need* to help kids get across the street safely) been hit and killed doing their jobs?

A strange thing as there are no restrictions on loading here, you can just stop outside the cycle lane and drop off your grocery delivery for free any time of day or night. Why wouldn’t a professional in a liveried vehicle understand this?
