Your worst nightmare. The illegitimate love child of Holden Caulfield and Don Quixote. That guy who adds stuff to TVARK.

There was a documentary about The Dave Clark Five a decade ago and it was the most psychotic self-promotion I've ever seen. It was all mostly about him. "I saved the surviving episodes of Ready Steady Go!", "I did a West End Musical with Laurence Olivier!", "I was with Freddie Mercury when he died!"

Tim Worthington@outonbluesix.bsky.social

So only Dave Clark gets his full face on the cover. Not surprising. His head is presumably twice the size of the others to accommodate that ego.

When a 55 year old film rated NC-17 can do this, it shows how bad things have got for modern cinema. I just wish Ken Russell was here to see this, I know he'd be proud of this! πŸ₯²

THE DEVILS beat DIGGER and THE SOCIAL RECKONING at the box office this weekend.

On BBC One, Children of Men (2006), a horrific dystopia set in a fascist Britain in 2027. On ITV... Undercover: A Year In Reform. Very on the nose scheduling or just a coincidence?

He might not make all the right choices when it comes to parts. *COUGHWICKERMANCOUGH* But he's won my respect there.

This AI slop has just given me more grey hairs. When I become Prime Minister, I will ban ALL AI slop like this!

If there was ever a good example to not trust your Video Tapes to just anyone, especially those cockwombles who use AI generated Ads, here it is There are so many mistakes in this shit, it’s hard to know where to start I hate AI, but those that use it unchecked are equally to blame

Everyone watches pro-AI commercials and immediately gives their TV screen the middle finger until the commercial is over, right? Cool just making sure.

Reasons for David Walliams to be cancelled #75

UKPRES@ukpres1.bsky.social

In 2001 the BBC asked a number of Famous pop stars how they pay for thier TV licences, look more like Matt Lucas and David Walliams from Rock profile.

You get the feeling David Ellison doesn't believe in #MeToo and #TimesUp, he might as well get Trump to pardon Harvey Weinstein and have done with it.

MAKE THIS HAPPEN!! πŸ˜ƒ It's a pity Victor Lewis-Smith isn't with us, his company could have had a stab at it, he had a farm near Millom that's seen plenty of Dalek action!

Border Television is bidding for the Doctor Who gig. Ian Krankie as the Doctor, with Jimmy as the sweet-natured sidekick. Charlie Cairoli as the Master. Lots of wonderful vistas of the lakes, Keswick and Border Television's car park.

Got 70 Up on. This must be one of the last shows from the 1960s, along with Coronation Street, that's still on ITV. It's coming to an end, but that's OK. 70 is a good number to end things on, plus we've lost longtime director Michael Apted too, but his presence in the archive footage is still felt.

This is what happens when racist political opportunists put ideas into thick knuckledraggers who can't think for themselves. πŸ™„

Netpol@netpol.org

The racists are now abusing Britain's main blind people’s charity, the RNIB, accusing it of helping "small boat" migrants after mistaking it for the RNLI. Presumably the RNID, who support deaf people, are next. And will face accusations of refusing to listen... www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

Piddington is the kind of place where the newsagents only stock the Daily Mail and the People's Friend, they would never allow a Costa's to darken their doorsteps, they all go to church every Sunday, they have knobbly wooden car seat covers and their local village shop is outrageously expensive.

Of all the remakes, "racist Passport to Pimlico" was not on my bingo card www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Wonder Park, the one that went without a director's credit because the original director was fired for "inappropriate and unwanted conduct." It says a lot when no-one else wanted the directors credit.

jokes aside this movie is totally going to fail, because it's an animated film released by paramount that's not spongebob or paw patrol

I'm not going to listen to an advert where children order me what to do! Children are a hindrance, a burden and an embarrassment to most parents. When I become Prime Minister, I'll ban ALL children from public places and lock them up until they're 25!

Jack Bernhardt@jackbern.bsky.social

a real advert on UK TV currently: Oi! Grown ups! Save some water for us kids! ADULTS! stop having such long showers! GARDENERS! stop using so much water for your plants! WATER COMPANIES WHO HAVE DRIVEN RESERVOIR INFRASTRUCTURE INTO THE GROUND: Keep up the good work! PENSIONERS: stop drinking tea!

In memory of Jeremy Thomas, I want to share what for me is his best production. Terry Gilliam's Tideland (2005), a dark horror film disguised as a fantasy film. It's a slow-burner, but it pays off. The stupid critics at the time completely missed the point of this film, I was in tears at the end.

Oh bloody hell! This is sad news. Jeremy Thomas, legendary Oscar winning British director of The Last Emperor, Bad Timing, Naked Lunch, Crash, Sexy Beast, Tideland, Eureka, The Dreamers, Fast Food Nation and The Man Who Killed Don Quixote has died. 😞 www.theguardian.com/film/2026/se...
