eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

when I talk about ad-blocking being non-negotiable and ad networks basically running untrusted code in your browser, I have tended to assume I'm being a little bit hyperbolic, but

Kevin Collier @kevincollier.bsky.social

New this morning: @citizenlab.ca has identified an Israeli ad tech company — one that's placed ads on NBC News — that ran a secret side platform to let spyware companies plant malicious code to hack people browsing those sites. 45 Al Jazeera employees and journalists were infected!

Replying to @enikofox.com

From what I have seen or heard, AI/LLMs goes with the most complicated code possible. Possibly by design. Programmers have to go through that all to delete most of the useless crap to find what they actually needed and prompted for. Any time saved with prompting is lost in code review.

Don't let billionaires convince you slop is the future. They're used to managing & directing, not making things themselves. Of course they can't see the difference. They don't understand your love for the craft. Keep making personal, beautiful games. You've got my support 💖

Missouri Republicans control virtually every lever of state government, but voters and the courts keep getting in their way. Now the GOP is targeting the systems that give both their power: the state’s judge selection process.

welcome to the first cnn 2028 democratic presidential primary debate, for the next two hours hillary, pete, gavin, and kamala will take turns explaining why they think ms rachel is a terrorist

I love knowing what phrases from other languages mean, because that makes them so much easier to remember I couldn't remember the name of the Codex Argenteus, or even the (technically) English "argent codex" but instead just "silver book" which is what it means in Latin lmao

let's just say it's all thanks to pubert. a kid named pubert. *applause* c'mon up here pubert! *crowd cheering* wonderful, wonderful guy, pubert, just really fantastic. nobody puberts like him. it's a real shame they're trying to take him away, the radical left.

Repost if $30k would change your life right now

Matt Darling@besttrousers.bsky.social

I don't think $30k is a life-changing amount of money. Median American born in 1980 will have $2m in income in their lifetime. It's a 1% increase in earnings.

hey fuckface if you wanted me not to avoid and overcomplicate this in the future then you wouldn't have blown up on me for making mistakes the first few times (much less ever since)
