I'm going to say it loud for the people in the back. Voice actors are artists and replacing them with Gen AI is unethical and immoral. This is different than a screen reader/accessibility tool which isn't giving a "performance." This is a machine trying to imitate human emotion and artistry.

I really hate how every time CBC updates its website it takes down or moves old podcast episodes. The associated articles are often still up, but the actual audio is no longer easily accessible.

Back to school tomorrow. I'm excited to see my lovely colleagues, and meet my students on Thurs. Yet … they say it should get easier every year, but honestly, it kind of gets harder? I feel myself wearing down, breaking down, layer by layer, each year. One day nothing will be left.
