It took me months, about 495 rides, recovering from a shattered right foot and hacking a folding scooter, but I finally own a Nintendo Switch 2 using points obtained from Citi Bike. Afterwards, it left me questioning the very nature of work. For @aftermath.site. aftermath.site/switch-2-cit...

Posting some context for my sphinx designs since this is a new platform from the one they were introduced on and there's new eyes here. They basically came from a school assignment depicting metamorphosis. Baby cupids mature into sphinxes...

BREAKING: Silksong will be out on September 4. Two weeks from today. Really. Often, games that take 7+ years to make are plagued by mismanagement and painful burnout. But for Silksong? Team Cherry was having a blast. They still are. This is their story: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

#warriors i have begun rereading my favorite childhood series! i'm interested to see how it holds up + what happens as the series goes on because it has -checks watch- fucking eight arcs now? ?? ?? i had stopped reading by a little bit into power of three

the way that firestar is particularly devoted is very interesting to me. ofc, in the fiction starclan is completely real and sends visions and cats go there when they die... i dont know where im going with this, im just interested in aspects of devotion

thoughts: disability in cats is really NOT portrayed as true to life, which. you know. its a series about magic talking cats or whatever. it doesn't have to be. but it sticks out to me now

and then theres the religious aspect which is FASCINATING to consider. it never really pinged me as a kid, but then, i was raised catholic LOL. im not confident making sweeping thematic conclusions but something about the way clan cats are expected to believe in starclan and

and for that matter what happens to non clan cats when they die?? do the books ever answer that? theres so many they have to have addressed it at some point, right? i kind of vaguely remember there is definitely cat hell, but like. kittypets dont go to cat hell. probably.

so ive finished rereading the first saga! something so charming about reading through all that again in my old age (i am not old), and though there's a handful of thematic threads i have my misgivings about now i can see why i loved this shit so much as a kid. cats! CATS!!

most of the way thru darkest hour and im sitting here wondering if most of the clan cats count as religious zealots or if having a clan of magical cats in the sky who are definitely real is just like. yeah what else would you do.

onto fire and ice - actually most of the way thru fire and ice LOL. when i was a kid cinderpaw's story was so sad to me but as an adult im like. this would not fuckin happen, that girl would be scurrying just as soon as her leg was healed. but i am suspending my disbelief for her. ilu cinderpaw

done and dusted. cloudkit is an adorable little idiot, as we know. and the clan rivalries are so intense... fascinated as to why they ended up this way, like. surely it would make more sense to share all their territory. fireheart was real for suggesting that in the beginning of the first book

just finished into the wild yesterday and i can say that it's definitely written as a book for kids, but it still has a lot of interesting details. the fight scenes are so dramatic! it also sort of feels like you have to infer things about relationships

i remember spottedleaf feeling a lot more important and having many more lines than she does in the first book. instead it's handful of scenes that mention her sweet scent and she's noted to make firepaw feel kind of funny. "my sweet spottedleaf." so interesting.
