the world in my lifetime used to be a really beautiful, strange, occasionally cynical but always new, place. it's been difficult in the last year to feel like that world has died, replaced with nothing but a recycled version of itself. most of us sleepwalking, the few of us awake perpetually crying.

one of the libraries we were using has started to vibe code its updates so we can't update it anymore/should look for an alternative it maybe i just do it myself took years to unlearn the "just make everything myself" mindset but now we're back to square 1 :///////

could talk about many positive aspects but i truly hope everyone who touched the tech art or any other visible art in this game stays employed forever. that was one of the prettiest things ive ever seen... when they started pulling out shaders that imitated the crazy linework of the Netflix show 😵‍💫

For @aftermath.site: I had a borderline religious experience playing Titanfall 2 VR, a fantastic and still improving conversion of an already perfect game. It is one of the most moving single experiences I've had in VR since Half-Life: Alyx

ended up in the woods the other night trying to limp across the threshold to get a mega level 4 houndoom this game is steering towards predatory mobile slop but it also gets me into nature on a random Sunday night so i appreciate it for that at least

they made a movie I saw myself in so explicitly that i was sitting there thinking "this can't POSSIBLY be the intended reading right" maybe this is just me seeing a movie in a theater by and for trans people for maybe the first time and not being used to that feeling, of seeing yourself in art

so confused why Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma has been out for weeks, but no theater in Rochester, NY gets the movie until the 21st??? both the small indie theaters AND the AMC/Cinemark??? why is this movie dodging Rochester??? ive never seen this happen with these theaters before

like yeah im incredibly jealous ive been wanting to see this for a WHILE we have one of the <10 IMAX theaters you could've seen Odyssey in, and also produced the film it was made on. its not like we're a small town wrt film? also we had TV Glow on time? oh well 😔

our local indie theater was the first place in the world you could watch Skinamarink and pretty consistently shows films on time that major theaters don't want to show, like Poor Things & TV Glow they have had Camp Miasma posters/cutouts up since like May. im just confused

just played this game at #SuperNova / #SuperNova2026 its sauzzzzy and has online netplay! 9/10 recommend! (would be 10/10 but there are unfortunately grapplers in the game 😮‍💨)
