Trump is straight up saying during speeches that he wants white people coming to the country but not black. I don’t know what else people need to see.

This is just pure racism. Republicans objectively are campaigning on little more than bigotry.

El Classico has got to be the peak lineup for most world class stars on the pitch at once. Absolutely stacked on both sides, on the field and on the bench. Several teams have 1-3 as good or better players than Barça or Real in certain positions, but none have as many across the field as a whole.

€1.4 bil in annual salary cap b/w the two teams. At roughly 60-70 matches, depending on tournament progression, you're looking at over €20 million for this match. €11,000 per minute of play time (@22 players on the pitch). About $200 USD per second. And so far, we get two weak shots from Gordon.

The predictable Discourse is starting and I'm going to take a strong stand here: you can both want to abolish ICE and laugh really, really hard at Milo Yiannopoulos getting arrested by ICE after a decade of stoking the ethnonationalist hatred that led us to this point

Remember that if you got the Moderna Covid vaccine, you have Dolly Parton to thank, she gave the largest individual contribution toward their research to make it possible.

My kids, born in Tennessee, received books from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library til they were 5. As they grew, we donated them to keep the gift going. After moving to Washington, the program expanded here & we occasionally see the familiar sticker in a Little Free Library Thank you, Dolly.

I'm ok with data centers IF a) they use a renewable energy source such as solar or wind b) they dont use water resources for cooling c) do not release megawatts of heat into the environment d) they dont emit any subsonic or ultrasonic sounds Oh, and they need to be built in the neo-gothic style

Finding books was the reward for successfully completing a treasure hunt, and it hooked me on reading *hard* the year I was 8 and lived walking distance to my small town library.

THE 1970’s Culture Edition If you needed to do a report and you had to find books for your research beyond encyclopedias, this was your search engine. You’d then take the little golf pencil and scraps of paper provided to write down the “call numbers.”

I've been reading On Writing Well (1976) by W. Zinsser. It's a lovely book, and I started noticing around 60 pages in that he uses the em-dash on most pages, and often several times per page. Let's all calm down about AI's favorite punctuation mark, because it's also mine & has a solid pedigree.

Incredible chart from @propublica.org. If you don’t follow enviro stuff closely, your instinct might be that the hold-your-nose solution (carbon capture from fossil fuels) would be the “pragmatic” one versus covering Earth in solar panels, which seems utopian. In fact it’s the opposite

Which is why, 9 months later, he started a war to wipe out their nuclear potential that he already wiped out.

Q: It's the one year anniversary of Operation Midnight Hammer. Would you do anything different? TRUMP: No. It was the most successful attack that anyone has ever seen with a bomber and totally wiped out their nuclear potential

Is he claiming Iran would have invaded, conquered, and begun ruling the United States within the next decade? So much for respecting our military.
