If you don't establish consequences for reckless disregard of the law, you're just playing house because they absolutely will undo whatever you accomplish next time they take power

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

He got it right one time It was very impressive, yes. But stop beating this dead horse (Nate Silver)

The New York Times@nytimes.com

In @nytopinion.nytimes.com “If the election goes roughly as the polls say it will go, then in some ways it would mark the end of the Trump era,” Nate Silver says on this week’s episode of “The Ezra Klein Show.”

"The party left me. I used to be a Democrat, but know that Obama has made fun of Trump for making the White House look like a dictator designed an over-the-top chain restaurant I favor starving African children and bringing measles back"

If everyone buys liver, liver will become expensive

FactPost@factpostnews.bsky.social

RFK Jr. suggests Americans can more easily afford groceries if they start eating liver instead of beef: "Most of the cheap cuts of meat are very inexpensive. You can buy liver or the cheap cuts."

Yes and also this sort of 'uniparty' nonsense feels so hollow deployed in the midst of a national stove-touching. It turns out the difference between a 'milquetoast corporate Democrat' and Trump was really big! President Harris would not be driving trans soldiers out of the military!

youtubers, streamers, podcasters, etc are always on this beat bc they don't know how anything works & know that if they say something like this, their audiences will lap it up now & also 3 years later when they point to total gay commie revolution not happening and go "see? i was right!"

IMO Bioware's been kind of a shambling corpse for quite a while which doesn't make the job loss any better, but I've already mourned the loss of the entity years ago

I asked Abdul El-Sayed about his exchange with the GOP plant about religion. El-Sayed has a theory of how to combat MAGA bad faith: Don't let it frame the discussion. Flush out the assumptions underlying the outrage bait. Here's El-Sayed answer. Read to the end: newrepublic.com/article/2169...

The implicit assumption is that all Muslims avow the Muslim Brotherhood until they prove they don’t, which is exactly what AES picked apart

Andy Craig@andycraig.bsky.social

"Disavow" is inapplicable as a neutral description in a case where somebody had no previous avowal they're walking back. That's why it's being used as a manipulative term regarding El-Sayed, because it implies it's some kind of reversal of his past position, which is of course baseless nonsense.
